After a brief hiccup, all is right once again and it's time to light the fuse.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Tom Cruise has officially closed his deal with Paramount Pictures to return as action spy extraordinaire Ethan Hunt in the highly anticipated sixth installment in his blockbuster Mission: Impossible franchise. He'll also once again produce.

Chris McQuarrie, who helmed the exhilarating Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, wrote the script and will be back in the director's chair for Part 6.

Production has been pushed from January to Spring 2017. No word yet on the rest of Ethan Hunt's elite IMF team, but Rogue Nation breakout star Rebecca Ferguson has been heavily rumored to be involved in some capacity. As for Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Alec Baldwin, Paula Patton and/or Maggie Q, we'll just have to wait and see on their availability for Cruise's sixth impossible mission in the coming months.

So, what do you guys think? Excited? Sound off with your thoughts below!

@RancidBane - totally agree, the first film took a lot of beating, but the most recent three just get better and better, Rogue Nation was a genre leading spy thriller.
