Kevin Conroy is obviously the most well known (and beloved) Batman voice actor, but Jason O'Mara has played the Caped Crusader in many an animated project over the years. Now, he's going to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (well, the part of it never mentioned in the movies) for a key role in the upcoming fourth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Who is he playing? The new Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.!
Character details haven't been revealed by Marvel and ABC yet, but the press release mentions that O'Mara is going to be playing, "a character whose Marvel roots go back to the 1940s." Intriguing!
Any guesses about who he could be playing in the show? Whoever he is, Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb had this to say about the casting: "Bringing Jason into the mix as the New Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. forces everyone, particularly Coulson, to reevaluate their role in the Agency. Jason has both the physical presence and acting dynamics that will connect with and challenge even the most loyal agent."
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns on Tuesday, September 20th in its new timeslot, 10:00 PM ET on ABC.
