Pretty much all Avengers Earth Mightiest Heroes fans know, by now, that the Second part of the, currently airing, second season will see a major change. The mid season marks the involvement of Jeph Loeb (Head of Marvel TV division) as well as Man of Action studios (the Main writers of the current Ultimate Spider-man Show) and a major change in the series format, moving from story arcs to stand alone episodes.

The first episode of the "stand alone era" is titled "Powerless" and below is its description:

"Loki remains a prisoner of the Midgard Serpent for his crimes against Asgard. He smoulders with hatred for the Avengers, until the Enchantress offers him a chance at revenge. Can the Avengers regain their powers in time?"

Whether the writing will suffer from this transition will remain to be seen. "Powerless" will not air in the US until July or August, why ABC Australia will air the episode on June 11th.

Stay tuned as we bring you a review of "Powerless" as soon as it airs in Australia.

Did i miss something...When did The Avengers lose their powers during this season?

The last episode I saw was when they suspected Hawkeye of being a Skrull and the teams disbanded and Thor meeting Beta Ray Bill...dont remember any loss of powers in those ones.

@strugler

So once this new format takes affect, they will have episodes that still follow the current season storyline as well as stand alone episodes...not sure how to feel about that, good or bad?

Moving from story arcs to stand alone episodes? Bringing in the writers from Ultimate Spider-Man?

That doesn't sound good at all. I think this great show will be heading downhill.

Marvel just doesn't know what to do when it comes to there animated series in the long run.

Agreed. Jeff Loeb is gonna crap all over this animated series. Just the fact that we are going from these great story arcs to one-off episodes is enough to tell you they are gonna "fix" everything that is good about this series until they completely kill it.

Sounds like Loeb is going to ruin this show. It wouldn't surprise me at all. Nothing that is any good lasts very long, and Avengers EMH has been excellent beyond words. We shall see, though. I'll still watch it.
