GHOST IN THE SHELL Teaser Videos Offer Up A First Look At Footage From The Movie; Logo Revealed
During tonight's season finale of Mr. Robot, the USA Network premiered a series of teaser videos which offer up a first look at footage from the Ghost in the Shell movie starring Scarlett Johansson.
Mr. Robot is pretty much a perfect place to kick off a movie's viral marketing campaign, hence why Paramount Pictures have released a series of teaser videos for their live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell during tonight's season two finale. Three have so far found their way online, but a fourth just aired at time of writing, so don't be surprised to see even more appear as the night wears on.
As someone who isn't familiar with the manga of the same name, I have no idea what significance these teaser clips have, but they're more than likely heralding a full-length trailer in the very near future (especially as Facebook and Twitter accounts have also been launched for the movie, hence the logo reveal above). If you know what these mean, feel free to sound off in the comments section.
Ghost in the Shell stars Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbaek, Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche, and Michael Pitt. Directed by Rupert Sanders, the movie is currently set to be released on March 31st, next year.
