Following reports that Seth Grahame-Smith had decided to depart the Flash movie over creative differences, Birth.Movies.Death.com reported that Aquaman director James Wan might by the next director to depart a DCEU film.  It looks as if that report finally reached Wan, who moments ago, provided the simple yet very clear response below.

It's probably safe to say that Wan isn't going anywhere, anytime soon.  He looks pretty relxed for someone reportedly "feeling a tremendous amount of trepidation about Aquaman."

After making a cameo appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Jason Momoa's Aquaman will appear in Justice League: Part One before starring in his own solo feature film in 2018.  James Wan directs from a script he co-wrote with Kurt Johnstad. Momoa will be joined by Amber Heard ,who plays Mera.

Seth Grahame-Smith is an author, not a director so the Flash movie will be better for it, look what happened with Frank Miller and The Spirit.

James Wan is an awesome director and Aquaman will be great.

@SKOne - exactly, someone somewhere compared Seth with James Gunn, but neglected to comment on Grahame's complete lack of experience as a director.

Maybe they can bring Shawn Levy back to The Flash...

Waiting patiently to see what all the people who bought into the rumor saying "I knew he was gonna leave next" and similar shit are going to say.

@Beetleborg - What they always do:
"I was misquoted"
"They put words in my mouth"
"You read it wrong"
"It is not what I wrote"

I'm happy he's not leaving.

Wan is one of my favorite filmmakers DCEU has with Affleck and Ayer.

I fully trust this dude to deliver on Aquaman.
