The special screening for Batman: The Killing Joke kicks off on Monday, July 25th on over 1,000 screens but after bumping up the theater count, Fathom Events has determined that fan demand was still not being met and have decided to add an additional night of screenings.  You'll now have until Tuesday, July 26th to catch the film at your local theater.  On their official website, Fathom writes, " Due to unprecedented demand, a second date and two additional show times have been added. Participating locations for July 26 are limited and ticketing is being set up continuously so click on the orange “Buy Tickets” button to purchase today. If online ticketing is not available for your location, please check back often or visit the local movie theater box office."

Catching the film in theaters will reward you with a special introduction from Joker voice-actor Mark Hamill and a behind-the-scenes look at the film's production after the credits roll.

Batman: The Killing Joke will be screened later this week at SDCC, and will be made available on VOD platforms starting on July 23.  Blu-ray and DVD copies of the film will be sold on August 02.

I can't wait to see this. I'm glad they decided to make it R. Now they can do the comic justice. I'll definitely be buying it when it comes out.

Hello Batman Fans,

My name is Ed Jensen. My son, Jack, has been a huge Batman ever since he was born. I am sharing a link to a fundraiser I just set up on GoFundMe.com because my son has a very serious tooth disease and it has basically eaten away at most of the enamel. He needs to get dental implants or dentures and with him being in his late 20's he is very self-concious about it. Unfortunately, we are in no position to even help him just a little with this endeavor. We have helped him pay to get some cavities filled but that is not working (they eventually fall out or break apart). My son brushes his teeth more than twice a day and has even used sodium flouride but it just doesn't prevent his enamel from wearing off. I am trying to surprise him using this fundraiser site (I was told that GoFundMe was a great site and there are a ton of very great people online that help where they can) so that we can fix this problem for him. I can't stand not seeing my son smile and show his teeth when I know he wants to. He is a very great son and an even better person. I know he would want to help in any way he could for his fellow Batman fans so I figured I would come here to ask for your help.

Please visit the link down below to the fundraiser page and if you cannot afford to donate a certain amount even if you just shared it on social media and passed it around I would be so grateful. Thank you all for your help and support! God Bless.

I went to grab tickets but for the price of two tickets, I can literally buy the digital copy the next day. I also already have the Blu-Ray (w/ a digital version) pre-ordered. So...as much as I'd like to, I'm going to have to skip.

Should have done this months ago.

Looking forward to this one, but still worried about how bad the animation looks in the trailers. They really needed this one to knock it out of the park and be remembered, stuff like Mask of the Phantasm still holds up 20-some years later, beautifully animated film, I hope this doesn't end up being cheap.
