AMC Theaters Seemingly Reveal BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Run Time

It looks like AMC have released the running time for the upcoming Man of Steel sequel and its going to be the longest running time for a super hero film since 2012's The Dark Knight Rises. Find out just how many minutes of bat on god action we'll be getting on March 25th after the jump!

AMC theatre chain have released the running time for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and it's coming in at 2 hours and 31 minutes.

The length of the film is not suprising from what we've seen in the trailers, considering they have to fit in our two titular heroes individual story arcs, their inevitable throw down and of course teaming up to take on Doomsday, not to mention introducing several other new characters including Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Jeremy Iron’s Alfred, plus cameos from Ezra Miller’s Flash and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman.

This running time will see it going 9 minutes longer than Marvel’s similarly packed ensemble film Avengers: Age Of Ultron, and 8 minutes longer than 2013’s Man Of Steel.

This also makes it the longest running time on a super hero feature since 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises which came in at 2 hours 45 minutes.

I think we all have our fingers crossed for a good one here; I for one will be hoping and praying with baited breathe for 151 minutes of delight when DC's big hitters finally share the screen come March 25th.

I'm disappointed that the movie won't be three hours, but hopefully Justice League will be. I know I'm most likely the only one, but I love long movies, even more so when they're movies that I like and I can tell even though I haven't seen it that I'll like BvS. So that why is I would have preferred if it was three hours.

Man of Steel is 2 hours 23 minutes so that would make Batman v Superman 8 minutes longer not 3

Same running time as The Dark Knight Rises, I can dig it. Sounds like it's too long, But if the film is really engaging and has your undivided attention the movie will not feel so long and well flow very well!

Good run time imo, just enough to tell the whole story. I assuming we might get an opening montage for Batman in this film like we got in Watchmen.

One of the most memorable experiences of my career as a movie fan was when I was watching Fellowship of the Ring for the first time and was completely blown away by the whole thing. The movie seemed to just keep going and younger me was completely immersed in the world and story.

Then it was over and the lights went on, and I thought "woah, what an amazing trip!". It took me a few minutes to realize that there were no end credits rolling, because the screening actually had an intermission, at about 2/3rds into the movie...

Good times! (^-^)
