Defying its slew of negative reviews, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice has now officially passed $500 million at the worldwide box office.

Following a record breaking March Monday and Tuesday, the movie has amassed $193.3 million in North America and $308.6 million internationally for a global total of $501.9 million. Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder's Man of Steel follow-up will cross the $200 million mark domestically at some point today.

“We’re so proud that ‘Batman v Superman’ has become the must-see event film of the season for fans the world over,” said WB global distribution chief Veronika Kwan Vandenberg. “These incredible numbers are building momentum for not only this movie, but for the upcoming slate of DC superhero films.”
