Good News For BATMAN v SUPERMAN As It Lands China Release On The Same Day As North America

Piracy is a big problem in the Middle Kingdom, so it's very good news that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is now getting a day and date release there. Will it end up performing as well as Jurassic World?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens didn't perform all that well in China due to the franchise not being as popular there as it is in the rest of the world, but big things are expected for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next month. As you can see, it now has a day and date release with the US in China, and seeing as that worked out so well for Jurassic World, we could see the movie break some box office records of its own when it finally hits the big screen. Do you think it will reach $1 billion?

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Starring Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from Man of Steel, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film. Jason Momoa will also be making an appearance as Aquaman. Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to open in theaters on March 25th, 2016. Are you excited?

@ASGARDIANBRONY - I think the 3D was the biggest reason it was so successful. It was still new and if I'm not mistaken it was the first movie filmed in 3D. Plus they had a huge marketing campaign around it.

@ASGARDIANBRONY - 3D was a new, big deal back then. Plus it's basically Disney's Pocahontas, in space.

If this film is a classic which i believe it will be then WB/DC are looking into the Billion range. A South Korean student at the uni i go to said that Asia mainly Far east love DC and Marvel and really love the trinity. So hope this film makes bank box office wise and critically.

Well I'm no box office expert, but I can predict AT LEAST, being CONSERVATIVE it might make over $10.00. Don't quote me, but that depends on if I'm the only person to ever buy a ticket

Who cares about money? We should care if it's a great film. It could make a gazillion bucks and suck. That'd be awful

Amongst cbm fans, it should ONLY be about quality. The money aspect is great financial wise, but it doesnt determine how good a film is. I know this is severly obvious, but I think sometimes us fans forget and get caught up in the money aspect.
