Wesley Snipes Is Eager To Reprise His Role As 'Blade' For Marvel
There have been rumors of Marvel looking to expand their Netflix series with more supernatural characters like Blade. Now, Wesley Snipes has heard those rumors, and he's ready to return as the Daywalker.
Marvel has found tremendous success with their various Netflix TV series, such as Daredevil and Jessica Jones. While the Luke Cage and Iron Fist Netflix shows have yet to premiere, the arrival of The Defenders is imminent, and it's only a matter of time until Marvel decides to expand their Marvel Netflix Universe with something a little more supernatural.
Rumors of Marvel looking to adapt future Netflix series for Ghostrider, Moon Knight, and Blade have been popping up for a while now, but nothing too concrete to suggest it's actually happening. Well, it looks like those rumors have made their way to the Daywalker himself, Wesley Snipes, who portrayed the vampire hunter back in the 1998 film, Blade, which would then become a superhero trilogy. 12 years later, Snipes is now ready to put on the leather duster, and return to Marvel. The actor took to Twitter to announce that he's ready to return as the Daywalker by tweeting this:
Blade would fit in quite well with the darker world that Marvel has built so far. The idea of Snipes returning as the Daywalker isn't too crazy of an idea, despite the fact that the actor is 53 years old. He seems to have stayed in shape throughout the years, and a Blade TV show could help open up the Marvel Netflix Universe to the world of the supernatural. Do you think Marvel should bring back Wesley Snipes for a Blade Netflix series?
