Earlier this month, Twitter users launched a campaign which took off in the form of #GiveElsaAGirlfriend. For those of you not familiar with Frozen, that was aimed at Disney in the hope that the character will embark on a lesbian relationship in the planned sequel to the popular musical. However, things have taken an unexpected turn over the past 24 hours with the launch of #GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend, a campaign intended to...well, you can probably figure that out!
As you can see from the Tweets below, Bucky is a fan-favourite choice to become Steve Rogers' lover (there's a sentence I never thought I'd write), but as great as it would be to see an LGBT superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for someone like Captain America. After all, he's had a relationship with both Peggy and Sharon Carter, not to mention quite a flirtatious back and fore with Black Widow.
