After spoilers found their way online last night, DC Comics has released some preview pages from Rebirth which brings back a beloved superhero you've been waiting five years to see again...

Spoilers for DC Rebirth have already started doing the rounds online, but if you've managed to avoid them and just want to know what to expect from this reality altering comic book, then this preview should do the trick. However, it still reveals a hell of a lot, including the fact that The New 52 Superman is dead and that Wally West - the original, Kid-Flash version - is finally back in the land of the living.

Why he's in his Kid-Flash persona and not suited up as the second Scarlet Speedster remains to be seen, but it seems like some sort of mysterious force has stolen years worth of history from the DC Universe and this tale is going to be all about bringing that back. If you've read those spoilers, you'll know that this comic goes to some weird sounding places, and we'll find out more this Wednesday...

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - not just Wally, kid flash!! I got all sorts of chills reading this. People complain about dcs reboots, but really it's all in continuity!!

I love me some DC comics.

After civil war I'm going to start reading marvel. Starting with civil war!

If any marvel gurus have suggestions for what to read from 2000- now I will much appreciate

@RongDesign - lol I actually already read both those and the first volume of Chris samnee and mark waid's daredevil, and you're right wwh was just... Off? I can't figure out why it was just strange

I'm thinking about reading cap, ironman and spidey because they are my favorites. And the avengers events, I just don't really know where to start

It feels like dc needs a reboot every decade or so. If they just can continue that at their movie universe
GreedoSarducci
GreedoSarducci - 5/21/2016, 8:35 AM
@malsemarcel - From the looks of it, the movie universe is gonna need a reboot every other year or so.

@GreedoSarducci - I pray that's not the case. I am loving the current DC Films Universe so far. I just want everyone to love it as much as I do.

@malsemarcel - It's not a reboot.

@GreedoSarducci - Every superhero movie continuity reboots every decade or so, marvelard.

@relentless1 -

That better be just for this event--'cause I hate Watchmen like you wouldn't believe.

@FlixMentallo21 - One thing Snyder did right: making the Watchmen costumes look good.

@Viilax - That extends to the source material. Upon reading it for the first time, I decided then and there I didn't like it one bit.

OG Wally West is back😢🙌 So happy that the walking stereotype in the comics is no longer the only one bearing tat name. Side note, if Barry didn't cause new 52 then who did? Also, any news about John Stewart?

SPOILERS:

So it turns out there's not one but three Jokers... The Jerry Robinson original Joker, the Brian Boland Killing Joke Joker and the Snyder/Capullo Joker. Interested to see how this plays out. I wonder does this confirm that Batman actually did strangle the Joker to death at the end of Killing Joke? We live in interesting times...
SisterSunday52
SisterSunday52 - 5/21/2016, 7:35 PM
@MattMurdork - I wonder if they are all the same Joker, but in different forms. Like The Doctor or something. Like he changes forms every set number of years or after a death. That would be fascinating.
MattMurdork
MattMurdork - 5/22/2016, 9:16 AM
@AMrSundayGirl58 - There was mention of a God of laughter in Darkseid War, perhaps the God is reincarnated, or curses certain people to be his manifestation. The doctor idea is pretty cool! I wonder does this mean Batman has killed two jokers before? Unless they're all still alive...

But we have seen black Wally wearing this suit in promo art for rebirth SO I assume the proper one either doesn't survive or changes race after the event? Odd. At least the return of original superman is cool and permanent. What's the name of his series prior to rebirth again?
FlyntCoal
FlyntCoal - 5/21/2016, 6:41 AM
@Parkerluckpersonified - Black Wally is White Wally's cousin.

The White Wally in this book is the New52 version, but was erased from peoples minds.
