Via IGN, DC Comics has revealed an all-new ongoing series called Superman/Wonder Woman and it is going to focus on the relationship between....Superman and Wonder Woman

Superman/Wonder Woman will be written by Charles Soule (Swamp Thing) and drawn by Tony Daniel (Action Comics, Detective Comics).




Superman/Wonder Woman #1 is scheduled to hit local comic book stories this October.

I always found the pairing of these two a little weird. Don't get me wrong... I'm sure some fans love it. But me... I prefer my Clark Kent with Lois Lane.

I think DC has got this right. These two are a natural fit, like Batman and Catwoman, Joker and Harley Quinn, Green Lantern and Star Sapphire.

So how does Dc hope to get new readers? People coming out of MOS have sen Supes/Lois and maybe wanting to see more of their relationship in the comics but there not going
to get it.

The quicker this gimmick ends the better.

Love this :) As a lifelong Superman fan glad to see him getting as many books as Batman and I think this could really work like Cyclops and Jean :)

Clark and J'onn seems like a more natural pairing to me. They're both aliens stranded on Earth, the last of their kind, with abilities magnitudes beyond humans. So what if the Martian is technically male? He's a shapeshifter. Now that would get DC some publicity AND raise Martian Manhunter's profile...

I like Wonder Woman with Batman, like they flirted with on JLU. She would appreciate how hard Bruce has worked to make himself more than a mere man. It always seemed to me like Diana should distrust Superman as the ultimate male authority figure.

Remember when Grant Morrison had Aquaman crush on Wonder Woman? That might be the only thing he's written for DC that wasn't batshit crazy.

This is interesting because they said over at DC Comics that this relationship is going to end badly and now this? Hmmmm, wondering if they are exploring further for indications where to go with a DCCU? I will definitely pick it up just to see what happens when Supes doesn't finish his "Honey-Do" List! LOL I know what happens at my house! hah!

@Levitikuz - being such a huge fan of Martian Manhunter, what are your thoughts that Cyborg was directly mentioned by Goyer in the Easter Eggs? I was told by several that MM was mentioned directly and he never was! I think they may go down the Cyborg route instead since the Cyborg look would be easier to put on screen than MM.

DC is going to oversaturate the market with Superman titles now. If you want to follow Superman at DC which title do you buy now? Action? That used to be 'the' title. Now I guess it's Superman Unchained- dumb title. Or you can choose from Batman/Superman or Superman/Wonder Woman.

I kinda want to get the Batman/Superman title just for the Jae Lee art but I figure knowing DC he won't be on the title long.
