COMICS: Marvel Teases More Death In CIVIL WAR II

The debut issue of Civil War II from Brian Michael Bendis and artist David Marquez featured not one but two superhero deaths but that was only the beginning according to this new teaser from Marvel.

In the debut issue of Civil War II, despite being ambushed, Thanos still managed to take down both War Machine and She-Hulk. However, there looks to be more death on the horizon, possibly arriving as soon as issue #3, depending on how you interpret the below teaser image (the 3 could also represent the death toll in the series).  With Iron Man vowing to stop Captain Marvel from using the new Inhuman's prophetic visions to take action against evildoers before they can actually commit their crimes, we're likely headed for superhero vs superhero action when issue #2 goes on sale June 15.

Marvel's Civil War II will pit two factions - led by Captain Marvel and Iron Man at odds over the fate of an Inhuman that can predict crimes before they happen. Captain Marvel leads a group that wants to apprehend the criminals before they actually commit the crimes while Iron Man leads a group that's adamant that punishment can't occur before the crime is actually committed. Iron Man's stance is definitely softer than his position in the original Civil War conflict with Captain America where he wanted superheroes to register their secret identities with the US government. A Civil WAR II prologue of sorts will be made available on Free Comic Book Day on May 7th. Civil War II will ship on June 01. Brian Michael Bendis is the mastermind behind the event, while David Marquez is on art duty.

God, this needs to end. The logic behind all these deaths and the Cap twist is the same logic behind gratuitous sex scenes, jump scares and killing Superman to bring him back ten minutes later. Enough with the damn shock value and write a captivating story that earns its emotions, god dammit.

Just send Tony a cell phone after everyone is slightly injured. Problem solved.
