With Marvel cancelling Agent Carter’s third season and not picking up Marvel’s Most Wanted, some fans were left a little disappointed when it came to Marvel’s television sector. However, according to a new rumour, we could be seeing a new series down the line involving a certain arrow-shooting Avenger.
During a conversation on Heroic Hollywood’s ‘Heroic Insider’ podcast, host Umberto Gonzales, Devin Faraci and Daniel Alter discussed the rumoured possibility of a Black Widow solo movie (she tops a Fandango poll for a solo film with 48% of a total vote), with Gonzales mentioning a Hawkeye solo series:
"There was a pitch document - might be a little bit of a scoop here - uh for, I think you [Devin] might have heard this as well, for Hawkeye to have like a series... and I think Black Widow was included in that list as well."
It is unknown if the series would hit ABC or Netflix, or what the plot would involve (though most fans would probably love an adaptation of Matt Fraction’s Hawkeye series). In the meantime, you can see both Hawkeye and Black Widow fighting in Captain America: Civil War, in theaters now. Be sure to check the full podcast below (around the 19:20 mark):
What do you think? Do you like the idea of solo Hawkeye series on Netflix? Or would you prefer a solo film?
