Someone's killing our super heroes. The year is 1985 and super heroes have banded together to respond to the murder of one of their own. They soon uncover a sinister plot that puts all of humanity in grave danger. The super heroes fight to stop the impending doom only to find themselves a target for annihilation. But, if our super heroes are gone, who will save us?

Watchmen (2009) was directed by Zack Snyder ("Man Of Steel"), from a screenplay written by David Hayter and Alex Tse. It's an adaptation of the comic book of the same name created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. The cast included: Malin Åkerman, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode, Jackie Earle Haley, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Patrick Wilson. On a budget of $130 million, the film pulled in $185 million.

Watchmen, for a film coming out in '09, was very well done! I agree.., especially if you've seen or own the Ultimate Cut! How would if have worked.., a direct adaptation anyways, with what they had set forth?

Her Comedian is really great! :D

As for the Watchmen movie, I don't hate it. I followed it's making very closely, and it made me really appreciate Zack Snyder as a person. Had I been less familiar with the comics I would've no doubt absolutely loved the movie, because it does a lot right on it's own.

Still especially the theatrical cut left me disappointed back then, and I can only roll my eyes each time someone says the movie is 100% like the comics, because it really isn't. But time and the longer cuts made appreciate the effort a lot more, and now I'd agree it's definitely one of the better CBMs.
