ARROW's Katie Cassidy Set To Guest Star As 'Black Siren' On An Upcoming Episode Of THE FLASH

Looks like we're in for some more CW crossovers, as Katie Cassidy will feature in the penultimate episode of the current season of The Flash as the Earth 2 version of Laurel Lance, Black Siren.

According to EW, Arrow actress Katie Cassidy will guest star in the second-to-last season 2 episode of The Flash as an alternate version of Laurel Lance/Black Canary. The news was confirmed today by Arrow EP Marc Guggenheim during a press screening.

Apparently this Earth-2 incarnation of Lance will be named Black Siren, who is actually a character from the Justice League animated series that was based on the golden age version of Black Canary. Cassidy will also voice Earth-1 Laurel on a season 2 episode of the Vixen animated series.

IGN has a review of this weeks Gotham up even though it's not airing due to the NCAA tournament.

Anyone else remember that throwaway line Killer Frost had about loving killing breachers implying there were others before Team Flash. What is if the man under the mask is Jay Garrick from another Earth (comic book Earth-2), got stuck on what seems more like Earth-3 (Crime Syndicate) and decided to try to be the only superhero there before Zoom trapped him when the singularity opened.

I will really be bummed if spoiler turns out to be true because I've been hoping that Laurel will have an accident while wearing the Canary Cry and it will be fused to her vocal cords. I think the earlier announcement of Curtis Holt being a series regular next season opens up more possibilities for spoiler. Also, I'm calling it now: Genesis leads to Arrow season 5 - Intro to aliens.

@SKOne - I also want that to happen to Laurel. Her sonic scream at this moment seems kinda weak. They need to beef it more. Make it almost close or next to Silver Banshee's scream.

They should move Laurel to the Flash. Between Ollie and Felicity, there's barely any room for her on Arrow and the writers over there have pretty much left her on the back burner. Katie deserves more and so does Black Canary.
