I'm actually cool with this to be honest. People gathering their bats and pitchforks should keep in mind that Static is a very fun character. In some ways he's like DC's Spider-Man If you ask me. I think he deserves a shot.

Remember those rumors from ages ago when they said that Lil Wayne would star as Static Shock with Raven Symone playing his sister? 😂😂😂 Good times man...good times...

now asa butterfield is the new spider-man and now tyler williams cant be miles morales because its too early for that.

I know absolutely jackshit about Static Shock, so I can't tell you whether or not this is a good choice. I just think that image is hilarious.

If we get The Pursuit of Hapiness and Karate Kid Jaden, then i can live with him as Static. But if he act like After earth....

Nepotism at its finest. Now we know why Will agreed to suicide squad, only if his son could get a part on the dc universe as well lol. This is just awful if true. Static one of my favorite superheroes. I grew up with the show and it was cool to see a teenage superhero who looked like me. He cant act. I don't want a bad representation of a beloved hero who I've respected and admired for years. Dwayne McDuffie, rest his soul, created static to represent the disenfranchised black youth. Smith is a spoiled rich kid who's provided opportunities by his dad in all facets of life and he squanders them. His behavior and attitude is unattractive and the qualities he possesses don't line up with what Static represents. His public appearances are rife with immaturity and awkwardness, No offense, but there must be better choices for this role. More capable young black actors. Hes the son of Will Smith. He can get a role whenever. Give a young black unknown actor a chance to make this role his own. Someone who needs a shot, an opportunity.
