Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool opened in seven international markets yesterday and debuted to the impressive tune of $12 million. Reynolds previously commented on the budget for Deadpool, stating that Tim Miller made the film on what would be considered the 'c#c@i%e budget' for the bigger superhero films. Case in point, Exhibitor Relations is reporting that Deadpool had a production budget of $58 million.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool.
