In a recent Deadpool promo, Ryan Reynolds took a few good-natured jabs at his old X-Men Origins: Wolverine pal Hugh Jackman and Wade Wilson's much maligned appearance in the movie. Yahoo! caught up with the Aussie actor at Sundance where he's promoting his new film, Eddie The Eage, and asked him for his take on the hilarious video.
“Love it. It’s just brilliant. I mean, I love Ryan, he’s a good mate of mine. He’s so fantastic,” Jackman replied - but couldn't help getting a little shot of his own in when asked if Wolvie would take the Merc With a Mouth in a fight. “A hundred percent,” he replied with a grin.
Much has been made of Jackaman's next appearance as the clawed mutant in James Mangold's The Wolverine follow-up being his last, but it sounds like he wouldn't mind taking another crack at Wilson in a potential Deadpool sequel. “I’ve never thought about it till now, but doing something with Ryan – he’s awesome – that’s always attractive to me. But I think you’ve probably got several other people lined up to play [Wolverine]… probably you,” he says, gesturing to his Eddie the Eagle co-star Taran Egerton. “I don’t think I’ve quite got the facial hair for it,” chuckled the Kingsman actor in response.
What do you guys think? Would you like to see Logan pop up in Deadpool 2?
