Will Nintendo announce plans for the long-rumored live-action Zelda series later in the year?  A new statement from Nintendo president  Tatsumi Kimishima  outlined the video game company's 2016 plans, which included expansion into mobile games, theme parks and announcing licensing deals for film and TV. Could this be an indicator of another Wreck-It Ralph movie?  Is Nintendo moving forward with that Legend of Zelda Netflix series?  Kimishima didn't go into detail but we should expect additional information to surface at some point during 2016.

Please give us a mute Link in a Zelda film. That'd be amazing. Live action Metroid would be amazing. CGI Mario movie. There's so many spin off potentials from Mario alone..Luigis mansion, Yoshi, Wario...
Star Fox!! Sorry this post isso adhd but I'm stoked for this news.

I've always thought Metroid would lend itself very well to live action films, especially now that female driven actions films aren't alien to audiences as much as it once was.

For live action, Metroid and Link seem like no brainers. Pokémon could work too.

For animated, Kirby, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, a lot of possibilities there.

Just stay away from generic plots with an IP tossed into a formula. We probably don't need a Pilotwings or F-Zero movie.

@0megaDaGr0dd

You would have to do to many changes in the adaptation to make a Zelda movie work.. First off, you would have to make Link talk

@nibs

Their already is an animated Kirby show. Pokemon will never be live action since the rights for that is splitt between Pokemon Company, Games Freak and Nintendo and it would just hurt their anime as well as animated movies.
