Fans have set up a petition on Change.org to have Deadpool host SNL. Not Ryan Reynolds you understand; but Ryan Reynolds as the Deadpool character. As of now the petition has reached a very impressive 20,095 signatures, but obviously there's still no guarantee that anything will come of it.

There's no denying it's a fantastic idea, however, as the character has the potential to turn the show on its head with fourth wall-breaking asides and his trademark brand of humor - though toned down considerably for network TV. But that doesn't necessarily have to be too much of a hindrance, as Wade could use the opportunity to go on a rant about having to exist in a PG-13 world if he's ever properly integrated into the X-Men universe or something - the possibilities are endless.

Click HERE is this is something you'd like to see happen, and you can check out my 4-star review of Deadpool HERE if you're one of the few poor souls that have yet to see it.

@SuperbatSpider1003 -
He could maybe pull off the monologue, a digital short, maybe one sketch but that's it. Having Deadpool dressed as Deadpool would be too distracting and would never work in the continuity of a sketch comedy troupe. Frank Zappa and Milton Byrle both broke the 4th wall on SNL and they are famous for being two of the worst hosts in the shows history. Like SNL or hate it, the format would never work with Reynolds hosting as the real Deadpool.

Remember when SNL didn't have to rely on guest hosts to be relevant or funny?

I'd watch for Deadpool though.

Deadpool's humor isn't always necessarily R-rated. It's the bloody fight-scene and the extra curricular activities. So the humor wouldn't be toned down, just the language.
