Will This Disney Film Be The One To Dethrone DEADPOOL At The Box Office?

Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool has done surprisingly well in the box office since it debuted last month. It has held the first place position for three consecutive weekends, but that might change when this film hits theaters...

Deadpool hit theaters on February 12th. Since then, the blockbuster R-Rated film has grossed over $287.6 million, and is set to rack up another $20 million this weekend. Even so, box office analysts predict that Deadpool will finally be dethroned at the box office, after holding the top spot for three consecutive weekends! Which film will match Deadpool's awesomeness? According to a report by Variety, Disney’s Zootopia looks to be the film to take the number 1 position! Zootopia (which currently has a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes), is estimated to open up with a gross of $60 million, which should definitely be enough to top the Merc with a Mouth’s film.

Anyhow, the studio executives at Fox are expecting Deadpool to beat the record for the highest domestic gross for an R-rated film. “Passion of the Christ” currently holds the record with $370.8 million. If Deadpool can continue putting up strong numbers, surpassing that number should come with ease. Do you think Deadpool will conquer the record? If you do, how much do you think Deadpool will make domestically before its run is over? Share your thoughts and ideas in the comment section below!

If a Disney movie was able to topple MOS on its second week, then toppling Deadpool in its 4th week seems like a no-brainer.

Even if the movie doesnt break the box office R rated record, the DVD sales will definitely hit the roof. Can you imagine all those kids dying to see this movie with some possible deleted scenes added it.
