FAN CAST: Guardians of the Galaxy

FAN CAST: Guardians of the Galaxy

My choices for Star-Lord, Quasar, Adam Warlock, Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot.

For the sake of time, effort, and space -- I've decided to not cast everyone in the group. Some like Drax, would need to be in the movie with Thanos now appearing in the MCU. Others, like Rocket Raccoon and Groot are just too insane to not include. All in all, I tried my best to think of who will be in the movie and tried my best to cast them. Don't bitch about me not casting the slew of other members I failed to mention, because I just honestly don't think they'd adapt them. These are the members that make the most sense, in my opinion.

Timothy Olyphant for Star-Lord

Anyone who's watched the amazing show Justified, knows that Olyphant is a very witty and spews one-liners almost effortlessly. I think he could make for a great Star-Lord.

Emilia Clarke for Quasar (Phyla-Vell)

Emilia Clarke is amazing in Game of Thrones. As an attractive, and yet powerful leader -- she has the acting chops and looks for Quasar

Hugh Dancy for Adam Warlock/Magus

Dancy is a great, if underrated, actor. I think he can balance the good of Warlock while holding the rage that would make for a great Magus if Marvel decided to go that route.

Olivia Wilde for Gamora

Olivia is sexy, and looks like she could kill a man if she wanted to. Perfect Gamora casting.

Jason Momoa for Drax the Destroyer

Another Game of Thrones inspired casting choice. Momoa could play the role similar to how Ruffalo played the Hulk.

John DiMaggio for Rocket Raccoon

For Futurama and Gears of War fans, I hope this choice makes sense. If DiMaggio could bring even half of his humour he brings to Bender to Rocket Raccoon then we could have a bonafide hit.

Peter Cullen for Groot

Optimus Prime himself. Sure, his lines would be rather...boring; but I think for a voiceover actor having someone like Cullen would be a definite geek get for the film.

Not too bad!

TIMOTHY OLYPHANT would be great!
I don't see STAR-LORD as a comedian
throwing out one-liners though!

STAR-LORD is a badass STAR-WARRIOR
and leader of "THE GUARDIANS".
If you've seen OUTLANDER then you
would know that JIM CAVIEZEL (MRBLUESKY'S@
pick) is perfect for the job!

EMILIA CLARKE is only 5'3". She is way
too petite for the tall warrior-woman
who was CAPTAIN MARVEL for awhile.
EMILIA just doesn't fit the tall PHYLA-VELL!

HUGH DANCY would be OK for ADAM WARLOCK.
I don't see ADAM WARLOCK with a BRITISH
accent though so he'd have to do a flat
AMERICAN accent for ADAM WARLOCK.

OLIVIA WILDE is just too skinny and small-
breasted for the tall, buxom, shapely, alien
warrior-woman GAMORA.

JASON'S good for DRAX! JASON is a big man!
I don't see why he would need CGI like RUFFALO
for the HULK. JASON is 6'4', he's a large man!
Just give him a bald-cap & color his skin green
The only CGI needed would be for the super-
powerful abilities DRAX has.

Don't see BENDER'S voice fitting ROCKET RACCOON
at all but if DI MAGGIO changed up his voice for
ROCKET then OK. It was the great writers of
FUTURAMA that gave BENDER his wonderful humor!
I would rather see a star actor doing the voice
of ROCKET RACCOON instead of just a voice actor.

PETER CULLEN for GROOT, NICE!
Wonderful voice-actor!

Casting all the "GAME OF THRONES" actors is kind
of weird though!

Something tells me I'll need to get into Guardians of the Galaxy, then I can prepare a fancast of my own.

- Hard to tell how Star-Lord is presented. Is he a jokester sometimes, or is he serious. So it's hard to find out who's better, Timothy Olyphant or Jim Caviezel.
- Ah, Khaleesi. She could work wonders as Phyla-Vell.
- Olivia Wilde is rail thin. Of course, yeah, working out has to be done. Then we'll talk about her as Gammora.
- Like with Star-Lord, is Rocket Raccoon supposed to be funny as well? Let me know. Besides that, John DiMaggio works well with comedy and drama, so however the character is portrayed, he'd nail it.
- Peter Cullen's lines "boring"? You thinking of his work as Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh? You made a great casting choice here, Peter would sound perfect for Groot.

By the way, check out my fancasts for Deadpool and Spider-Man when you get to it.

I didn't know who the Guardians of the Galaxy were until I saw them on Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes.

Star-Lord: I love Timothy Olyphant and from what I saw of him on Avengers I think Olyphant would be great as Star-Lord.

Rocket Raccoon: Dimaggio is great as Bender and would would be funny as a Raccoon.

Nice cast, love all the choices. The only thing I would say is that would be a waste for Cullen to be so underutilized in the Groot roll though
