With 2012’s THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN fresh off the press, I have decided to make a come-back with my fancasts, starting with the MCU based ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN!
Directed by Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Tommorowland)
Let’s face it, this guy has never made a bad movie. His light hearted, yet serious tone would work perfect for a Spider-Man film, as it did with The Incredibles. He has perfect direction and would give us THE perfect Spider-Man movie.
OTHER CHOICES: Matthew Vaughn
Composed by Alan Sylvestri (Marvel’s The Avengers, Back to the Future, Beowulf)
After giving us a VERY memorable score in The Avengers, Sylvestri is a musical wizard bringing us great action film scores and also very serious and love driven ones. He can take Bird’s story and visuals and create something extraordinary when it comes to music.
OTHER CHOICES: Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross
CAST
Aaron Taylor Johnson as Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Kick-Ass, Nowhwere Boy, Godzilla)
He was originally on a short list to be in the current Spider-Man in the TASM series, but unfortunately lost out to Mr. Garfield. He showed us his nerdy, comedic and loveable side in Kick-Ass, and his serious emotions in Nowhere Boy. His suit would be a mixture of the suits from TASM, TASM 2 and the one pictured above.
OTHER CHOICES: Joseph-Gordon Levitt
Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Harry Osborn (Brick, The Dark Knight Rises, Looper)
This brilliant young actor could portray the PERFECT drug addicted (kind of Brick, plays someone similar to that), troubled, rich college kid with a dad who likes his best friend more than his own son. JGL is one of the hottest actors in Hollywood right now, and this is a role I’d LOVE to see him portray.
OTHER CHOICES: Jesse Eisenberg
Jane Levy as Mary-Jane Watson (Suburgatory, Evil Dead, Fun Sized)
I loved her quirky lovable side in Suburgatory, her serious performance in this years hot horror Evil Dead, and her party animal side in Fun Sized. She is a terrific, very attractive actress who could bring great fun to the character.
OTHER CHOICES: Jennifer Lawrence
Jason Isaacs as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin (Harry Potter series, Entourage)
This man. This man was born to play Norman Osborn. His menacing look and stellar acting ability bring me to the conclusion that he would be the best Green Goblin we’d ever see. GIVE THIS MAN THE DAMN JOB!
OTHER CHOICES: Jack Nicholson (Younger)
Zoe Saldana as Felicia Hardy/Black Cat (Star Trek, The Terminal, Guardians of the Galaxy)
I know, she is already Gamora (and was also my choice for her in my GotG fancast!), but I think she’d be a great Black Cat, bringing to the character the stealthy and sexy look with great acting ability, she would be a mix of Black Widow and Black Cat, making her a great choice for the lady of the night.
OTHER CHOICES: Alice Eve, Charlize Theron
Phillip Seymore Hoffman as Dr. Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus (The Master)
One of the best villains in comics, period. One of the best actors, period. Fuse the two and you get this casting choice. Both characters share deep emotion and Hoffman could bring everything needed to play this role, and may even top Molina’s classic portrayal.
OTHER CHOICES: Javier Bardem
Christoph Waltz as Dmitri Smerdyakov/Chameleon (Inglorious Bastards, Django Unchained)
This two time Oscar winner has proven that he can play a sinister villain if need be, he would give this role his all and impress us yet again, he can play a meek but tantalizing character and this film would be the perfect place to put him.
OTHER CHOICES: Benedict Cumberbatch
Brad Pitt as Max Dillon/Electro (12 Monkeys, Fight Club, World War Z)
I have no idea how Jamie Foxx will be at playing Electro, but I know after watching Fight Club a million times, and 12 Monkeys that he can play an insane psychopath, which is what is needed for the Electro character (with powers), he can also play a calm (Benjiman Button) character when playing pre-incident Dillion.
OTHER CHOICES: Ben Foster, Michael Rossenbaum
Quinten Tarantino as Quinten Beck (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Django Unchained)
I know this wouldn’t happen... ever. Quinten and Quinten have more in common than anyone on this list, and I don’t just mean names, both film makers, and at one time or another have made a bad film. His goofy look and talent would bring wonders to the character. So whaddaya say Quint?
OTHER CHOICES: Paul Giamatti
Joaquin Phoenix as Eddie Brock/Venom (Ladder 49, The Master)
He looks rough and tough and can be VERY convincing on screen. He could be the Venom that we’ve always wanted to see. He is everything I want in this character and hope one day I can see it happen.
OTHER CHOICES: Joe Mangellieno
Garrett Hedlund as John Storm/Human Torch (Tron Legacy, On The Road)
Having played the son of Flynn in Tron Legacy and the classic Dean Moriarty in On The Road, Hedlund has shown he can play a serious, fun loving kid in the stars. He could handle the fast cars, hot girls and the classic “FLAME ON!” as good, if not better than our current Captain America.
OTHER CHOICES: Alexander Skaarsgard, Alex Pettyfer
Ryan Gosling as Matt Murdock/Daredevil (The Notebook, Drive, Only God Forgives)
With the calm ultraviolent character brought forth in Drive and Only God Forgives, Gosling would make, in my opinion, the best Daredevil.
OTHER CHOICES: Michael C. Hall, Chris Pine
…
…
…
Jayden Smith as Miles Morales (CAMEO) (Pursuit of Happyness, After Earth)
He looks just like him, close in age, he’d be perfect for it. Peter would be his science tutor, but he’d only be in it for a few seconds.
OTHER CAMEOS: Tony Stark (RDJ), Nick Fury (SLJ), Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg)
SPIDER-MAN WILL RETURN IN THE AVENGERS 3
Thank you for reading my fancast, I hoped you liked it! MORE SOON!
