FAN CAST: The Invaders The Movie By LEEE777

FAN CAST: The Invaders The Movie By LEEE777

I have been working on this a while now, the original superhero team known as The Invaders. Set in World War II, these superheroes fought for our freedom against Nazi Germany trying to take over the world at the time. Yes Captain America is in the mix but don't worry, he wont be an actor you've come across here, no Jason Lewis, Sam Worthington, Leo Dicaprio, Ryann McPartlin, Teddy Sears, Michael Weatherly or any other Captain America for that matter for this Invaders Marvel movie.

The Invaders team first appeared in flashback stories set during World War II, and comprised existing characters from Timely Comics, the 1940s predecessor of Marvel. Originally, Captain America (Steve Rogers), his sidekick Bucky (James Barnes), the original android Human Torch ("Jim Hammond"), the Torch's sidekick Toro (Thomas Raymond), and Namor the Sub-Mariner were together as heroes opposing the forces of Nazism. When these superheroes saved the life of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill from Master Man, the thankful Churchill suggested that they should become a team, known as the Invaders.

The Invaders fought the Axis Powers over the world until eventually finding themselves in England, where they met Lord James Montgomery Falsworth, the original Union Jack. He joined the team and provided them with a base of operations in England. Eventually Falsworth's children Brian (Union Jack) and Jacqueline (Spitfire) became members. The team later added Miss America (Madeline Joyce) and super-speedster the Whizzer (Bob Frank), during a battle with the Super-Axis. Later, against the threat of the Battle-Axis, the team added the Blazing Skull and the Silver Scorpion to its roster.

Now down to casting, right i thought instead of using the same Captain America all the time it's hide time we tried out new possibilities, to keep it fresh and keep you guys entertained, here goes:

Chris Carmack as Captain America:

Captain America was the alter ego of Steve Rogers, a sickly young man who was enhanced to the peak of human perfection by an experimental serum in order to aid the United States war effort. Captain America wears a costume that bears an American flag motif, and is armed with an indestructible shield that can be thrown as a weapon.

I'd like to point out this is not a Captain America sole casting here, it's The Invaders and i think Chris Carmack does have the talent to pull off being the leader of the World War II super-team. Hey he's american, he has the age for the time, the blue eyes and the blonde hair, plus i think he's an up-and-comer that Marvel may even have their eye on. He's not too famous but famous enough, the guy have done many TV roles and also been in a few movies, one of the latest is the lead part in "Butterfly Effect 3." Anyway i think the guy is a strong contender that could possibly be Steve Rogers on the big screen. I hope you'll think about him and of course like everyone else i have my favorites for Cap, but i truly believe Chris Carmack could to wonders in the patriotic role too!

Jamie Bell as Bucky:

Barnes (named after James Buchanan, the 15th President of the United States), was born in Shelbyville, Indiana in 1925. He is an orphan, the son of a soldier killed in training at U.S. Army Camp Lehigh in Virginia just before the United States' entry into World War II. As a result, he is unofficially adopted by the camp as a mascot. Nicknamed "Bucky," he takes to wearing a uniform and becoming savvy with the ins and outs of military life, even though he is a teenager. It was at Lehigh that he meets and befriends Private Steven Rogers, who by all appearances is the clumsiest soldier in the camp. This was at the same time that reports of the then-mysterious Captain America begin to appear in news magazines, and Barnes eagerly devours the accounts of this new hero.

In 1940, Bucky accidentally walked in on Rogers changing into his uniform, thus discovering his friend was Captain America and insisted that he join him. He underwent extensive training and was assigned to be Captain America's partner. The military justified putting a 15-year-old in harm's way by using him as a symbol to rally the youth of America. They fight the Red Skull together, and Captain America accepts Bucky as his partner. Together, Captain America and Bucky fight Nazis both at home and abroad, as a duo and as part of the superhero team known as the Invaders.

Well what can i say, he looks and talks like Bucky, good old Jamie Bell is a hot favorite for the role and yes i can see why. Many like him and i have come around to liking him too, after all there is no other actor that can fill those boots.

Burn Gorman as Union Jack:

A peer of the realm as Lord Falsworth, James Montgomery Falsworth is first active as the adventurer and British government operative Union Jack during World War I. During his adventures as a member of Freedom's Five, he encounters the mysterious Baron Blood, a vampire saboteur for the Germans. After the war, Lord Falsworth retires to his ancestral home in England to raise a family.

He is active again as Union Jack during World War II. He becomes a member of the superhero team The Invaders. Well i can only see a certain actor playing the World War II version like some of you other guys, yep it's got to be Burn Gorman from "Torchwood." The guy just oozies Union Jack it's not funny, just check out the British sci-fi show and see for yourself. Though everybody you do know he is a lot older than the actual actor, so Gorman would have to be aged a little.

Jason Lewis as The Original Human Torch:

The Human Torch was an android created by Professor Phineas T. Horton in his lab in Brooklyn, New York for scientific purposes. At a press-conference unveiling, however, Horton's creation burst into flames when exposed to oxygen, and, with human-like sentience, personality, and awareness, rebelled against his creator. Public outcry led to the Torch being sealed in concrete, though he escaped due to a crack that let oxygen seep in. While the Torch then inadvertently caused parts of New York City to burn, he eventually learned to control his flame and vowed to help humanity.

The Torch later first encountered and battled Namor the Sub-Mariner and later on joined The Invaders.

Well i know what your saying, thats Captain America up there, and it's true he would make a great Steve Rogers in an ideal world but, i gotta admit he'd be slamming as the original Human Torch too, plus some of you seem to think the guy acts like an android? So heck thats in his favor even though he does not lol, anyway Jason Lewis would make a fine addition to The Invaders.

Yvonne Strahovski as Spitfire:

Jacqueline "Jackie" Falsworth was born in Maidstone, England, and is the daughter of the original Union Jack (and the sister of Union Jack II). As a teenager during World War II, she met the superhuman team the Invaders. Baron Blood attacked her, and the original Human Torch rescued her. She was revealed to have been bitten by Baron Blood, who abducted her again; this time she was rescued by Captain America. She received a transfusion of artificial blood from the Human Torch, which endowed her with superhuman speed. She used these new powers to save the Torch from the Blue Bullet. She became an adventurer and took the name Spitfire and joined the Invaders, and went on her first mission with the Invaders. She operated as a special agent for the United Kingdom and Allied Forces during World War II, as well as the United Kingdom's Home Guard.

Damn, Maidstone England, i have been there many of times, my father lives there, thats quite a shock lol, and should be going back there to visit him sometime in January back to the UK. Anyway enough about me i think Yvonne is a talented actress and could pull off the role of Spitfire pretty easy, yeah she makes a perfect Black Canary but thats DC, anyway check out the TV show "Chuck" and judge for yourself.

Jake Abel as Toro:

Thomas Raymond was born in New York City to parents who were laboratory assistants to Phineas Horton, creator of the original Human Torch. After their employment with Horton had ended, they were killed in a train derailment. Toro himself was found at the site of the accident by a traveling circus completely unscathed despite the blaze from the wreckage raging around him. Adopted by the circus, his complete immunity to flame was used to draw additional crowds to the circus sideshow.

Eventually the circus was visited by the Human Torch, and as he drew closer to Toro the younger man's flame powers fully erupted for the first time. From this point onward, Toro was a protégé and partner of the Torch and a co-founder of the Invaders.

Jake Abel talented young actor can handle Toro i reckon rather well, i know someone thought of him here, i think Josh and i thought hell yes straight away, the kid is born to play the part of Toro.

Jason Behr as Namor the Sub-Mariner:

Namor was born in the capital city of the Atlantean empire, then located off the Antarctic coast; he was born of the pairing of Atlantean Emperor Thakorr's daughter, Fen, and an American sea captain, Leonard McKenzie, of the icebreaker Oracle. When Fen did not return from investigating the ship's presence in their Antarctic waters, Thakorr sent soldiers to attack the Oracle, thinking that she had been captured. In truth, McKenzie had taken her as his bride. In the ensuing attack, McKenzie was believed to be killed, and Fen returned to her kingdom. Nine months later, a pink-skinned child was born among the blue-skinned Atlanteans. He was raised in Atlantis, and when he matured, he would alternate between living there and adventuring in the oceans and on the surface. He became the Prince of Atlantis, and a warrior for his people.

When World War II broke out, Namor put aside his differences with the surface world, and he fought alongside the team of Allied heroes that called themselves the Invaders, namely Captain America, his sidekick Bucky, and the original Human Torch. Namor was injured after the war and lived for a time in the Bowery district of New York as an amnesiac derelict who went by the name "Macin". During this time, the original site of Atlantis was destroyed by nuclear testing, forcing its inhabitants to move to a new location.

Yes you go, where is Vin Diesel for Namor and shock he is not here. I don't know, i just feel Namor for the World War II version doesn't suit him, we need a younger looking actor even if in reality he is not. Tat honor goes onto Jason Behr, you may know him best in the sci-fi series "Roswell," anyway the guy can act big time and would own this Namor part. I cannot see any other actor coming even close.

Paul McEwan as Thin Man:

In the 1930s, scientist and explorer Dr. Bruce Dickson attempts to climb Mount Kalpurthia in the Himalayas. There, he encounters the lost civilization of Kalahia, which possessed extremely advanced technology. The Kalahian people expose him to a mutagenic substance which alters his body to give him the same physical abilities as they had: eternal youth, and tremendous physical resilience and flexibility, including the ability to become "thin", or rather, flat.

Dickson learns much of their advanced technology, and falls in love with Olalla, daughter of the Kalahians' leader. He and his new love travel to the outside world and become superhero contemporaries of Captain America, the Human Torch, the Sub-Mariner, and others. The Thin Man, which Dickson has adopted as his superhero name, becomes a member of the stateside team the Liberty Legion during World War II. The Liberty Legion then began battling Nazi agents in the USA. With the Liberty Legion, he battled the Invaders, who were hypnotically controlled by the Red Skull. In 1942, the Liberty Legion encountered the Thing who had traveled back in time, and then aided them in battling Master Man, U-Man, and Skyshark. The Liberty Legion also battled Iron Cross.

Thin Man was mainly a Timely character and who better to play him than McEwan, this guy could play Thin Man as easy as Huge Jackman could play Wolverine. The only difference is until today you've probably not even heard of Thin Man.

Michelle Monaghan as Miss America:

Socially aware heiress Madeline Joyce was born in Washington, D.C., and was the niece and ward of radio mogul James Bennet, who was sponsoring a Professor Lawson, a scientist claiming to have gotten superpowers through a device that had been struck by lightning. Joyce, secretly tampering with the contraption during a thunderstorm that night, herself gained the ability to fly and great strength after lightning similarly struck, knocking her unconscious (she originally had superhuman strength, as well as other powers, but after her few early appearances they were retconned). The panicky scientist, seeing the apparently dead young woman, destroyed the device and then killed himself. Joyce survived to fight crime as the patriotically garbed Miss America.

Who better than Michelle Monaghan to play super-sexy superhero Miss America, great actress and as a bonus she has that certain 1940's look and feel to her, perfect!

Neal McDonough as The Whizzer (Robert L Frank):

Robert L. Frank was born in St. Louis, Missouri. The origin of the Golden Age character begins while Robert Frank is on a trip to Africa with his father, Dr. Emil Frank, where Robert is bitten by a cobra. Dr. Frank saves Robert by a transfusion of mongoose blood, and soon discovers that he has developed super-speed. Frank then decides to fight crime and eventually accepts the offer of Invaders member Bucky, who forms the superhero team the Liberty Legion to rescue the other Invaders, who have been brainwashed by the villain the Red Skull. When the Liberty Legion and Invaders eventually disband after World War II, the Whizzer joins the newly-formed All-Winners Squad. The Whizzer afterwards spent some years battling alcoholism and depression, and was for some time homeless in the Bowery section of Manhattan. He also works as a nuclear laboratory technician.

Check out many of this actors movies, he owns the parts on screen, who else but him could ever play The Whizzer, cool name too lol.

Ray Winstone as Winston Churchill:

After the outbreak of the Second World War, Churchill was again appointed First Lord of the Admiralty. Following the resignation of Neville Chamberlain on 10 May 1940, he became Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and led Britain to victory against the Axis powers. Churchill was always noted for his speeches, which became a great inspiration to the British people and embattled Allied forces.

Ray Winstone would make a great Winston Churchill, a bit of make up and that guy would play a fine World War II Prime Minister, i think he'd be up for the challenge.

Now to the Villains:

Daniel Day Lewis as The Red Skull:

John Maxon was the first Red Skull to appear in the 1940s comics was George John Maxon, an American businessman and Nazi agent who led a ring of spies and saboteurs. He faced Captain America during two of the latter's first missions. A formidable opponent in his own right, Maxon was thought killed during the last encounter, though he would reappear for one last encounter with Captain America in the Silver Age. Maxon was later revealed to be the agent of Johann Schmidt, the true Red Skull. So all you Mads Mikkelsen lovers, he can be that Red Skull and he really looks the agent type too, perfect!

Johann Schmidt, the true Red Skull, as with many supervillains, Johann Schmidt had a traumatic childhood that warped his mind, paving the way for villainy in his adult life. Johann Schmidt was born in a village in Germany to Hermann and Martha Schmidt. Schmidt's mother died in childbirth and his father blamed Johann for it and tried to murder him, only to be stopped by the attending doctor. The father later committed suicide and Johann was orphaned. He grew up on the streets as a beggar and a thief struggling to survive and his hatred of humanity grew with each day. A key episode was when he fell for a local Jewish girl, but when she spurned his clumsy advances, he murdered her, finding a release for his frustrations. With that, his depravity grew still more.

Later on he emerged as the Red Skull for the first time. His role was the embodiment of Nazi intimidation, while Hitler could remain the popular leader of Germany. To that end, The Red Skull was appointed head of Nazi terrorist activities with an additional large role in external espionage and sabotage. He succeeded, wreaking havoc throughout Europe in the early stages of World War II. The propaganda effect was so great that the United States government decided to counter it by creating their own equivalent using the one recipient of the lost Project Rebirth, Steve Rogers, as Captain America.

What can i say that i have not said already, Daniel Day Lewis is Red Skull, he'd own the part and whats even better, he'd attract so many of Joe public to the theatre, it'll be mind blowing!

Ralph Fiennes as Baron Von Strucker:

Born in the late 19th century to a noble Prussian family who had relocated to Strucker Castle in Bavaria following the Franco-Prussian War, Wolfgang von Strucker became a Heidelberg fencing champion, and was disfigured by facial scars.

Strucker fought for Germany during World War I, during which he first encountered the jewel "Momentary Princess," which was fated to appear and disappear at regular intervals of time. Wolfgang pursued the jewel in the decades that followed.

When Adolf Hitler rose to power in Germany in 1933, Baron Strucker joined the Nazi Party, becoming infamous in the following years. In 1936 he and Geist, one of Hitler's top men, allied themselves with the Egyptian mentalist Amahl Farouk (secretly the Shadow King) in an attempt to dispute the lineage of England's royal family and install a new king who would be sympathetic to the Nazis.

Ralph Fiennes, quality actor with many quality roles under his belt, need i say any more.

Joseph Fiennes as Baron Zemo:

Dr. Heinrich Zemo, 12th Baron Zemo was one of the top scientists in the Nazi Party. Zemo fought both Captain America and his allies the Howling Commandos during World War II. A brilliant, if sadistic, scientific genius, Zemo created many weapons of mass destruction for Hitler's army, including a large-scale death ray cannon, a disintegration pistol that was a miniaturized version of his death ray, and primitive androids of considerable strength and invulnerability. Heinrich Zemo's intelligence was only matched by his sadism, as he routinely tested his deadly weapons on innocent people, both prisoner and civilian inside the Third Reich. This ultimately came to a head, during an early encounter with the Howling Commandos, when Zemo decided to test an experimental death-ray cannon on a nearby German town. The death-ray killed hundreds of innocent German civilians as a result, making Zemo a mass murderer. Though he arrogantly believed that he could frame his act of mass murder on the Allied Forces, Nick Fury and his fellow Howling Commandos exposed Zemo's role in the town's destruction, resulting in Zemo becoming a reviled figure throughout Europe, even amongst his fellow Germans.

Joseph Fiennes, brother of Ralph and an actor in his own right would make a quality Baron Zemo. Yes you say, so would Ralph but you just know if Ralph got the part we would barely see him with the trademark mask on, which is a absolute must for this character and anyway Ralph make a perfect Von Strucker. Joseph Fiennes would make an exciting memorable Baron Zemo and evil to-boot too!

Liam Neeson as The Hate-Monger:

The Hate-Monger first appeared in the small fictional nation of San Gusto in South America, and came to the attention of authorities when he took over with the use of storm troopers. The Fantastic Four went to stop a hate rally in New York City, but were caught off guard by Hate-Monger's weapon — the Hate-Ray — which instilled hate for others. As a result, the team disbanded and went their separate ways. Nick Fury, at the time a CIA agent, then managed to trick Mister Fantastic into traveling to San Gusto with him to fight the Hate-Monger, knowing the other members would follow. Fury and Reed infiltrated the Hate-Monger's headquarters, followed by the rest of the Fantastic Four. Fury managed to cure Mister Fantastic, who in turn cured the rest of the team. In the final confrontation, the Hate-Monger was shot and killed by one of his own storm-troopers when an H-Ray beam struck the soldier by mistake. When Mr. Fantastic removed the Hate-Monger's mask, it was revealed that Hate-Monger was Adolf Hitler — who apparently survived World War II.

Liam i can see in this role, he could perfect that Nazi accent to a tea, he is the Hate-Mongor.

Ralf Moeller as Master Man:

Wilhelm "Willie" Lohmer portrayed as a physically frail Nazi sympathiser, Lohmer agrees to participate in an experiment in which he is subjected to the Nazi version of the Super-Soldier Serum. Endowed with physical abilities that exceed those of Captain America, the character is given a costume and the alias Master Man, with Lohmer to be the first of a new Aryan "master race". As Master Man, Lohmer battles the Allied superheroes the Invaders, but is defeated when his new abilities prove to be temporary.

Ralf you say, i say yes. He's not a bad actor and he certainly fits the part much more than any other actor out there bar Dolph Lundgren ten or so years ago. He's got the accent down already and theres absolutely no other actor on this earth that fits the part more than him, bar a WWE actor and we don't want one of them do we, well not for this movie anyway and after all theres enough talent on the villain side to let this one slip, Ralf Moller is Master Man.

Viggo Mortensen as Doctor Faustus:

Johann Fennhoff was born in Vienna, Austria. He became a psychiatrist and criminal mastermind. He has proclaimed himself the "Master of Mens' Minds," and is known for the use of psychological methods of combat. His plots typically involve manipulating his foes into positions where they will, essentially, kill themselves.

Viggo Mortensen, yet another quality actor would own this role like many of the other roles he play in movies. He is an actor of many depths, check out such quality films as "History of Violence," "The Road," "Lord of the Rings," to name a few. Yes he would make the perfect Doctor Faustus.

Many thanks to Wikipedia for the information.

LEEE777 - Well hope you enjoyed that, damn that took too long, anyway this might be the last one for a while because me Tyler, Josh and DDD will be doing a huge top secret (well sort of but not really lol) project together. Details are this and stuff are sketchy and still in early stages right now but hopefully what we end up doing will blow everyones minds, stay tuned for that!

Though i may still finish my Excalibur that been sort of shelved lol, anyway check out these other Fan-Fic castings of mine if you have not seen them yet and have the time, many thanks, lee.

Damn fine casting Lee. Damn fine.

Except I don't like Carmack for the role. He looks too much like a douchebag pretty boy to me. And I don't think he's got the chops.

The only other one I don't like is Lewis, of course ;)
It's just I have something against him, just knowing he's in a CBM would piss me off LOL.

But f*ck yes Jamie Bell for Bucky :)

I really like pretty much all the other choices. Except you know I would prefer Mikkelsen as the original Skull and Fiennes as Baron Zemo, but they would both do well in these roles.

Awesome casting.

All the picks are great. I especially like the villains they are awesomely picked. Especially Ralph F as Baron Strucker and DDl as Red Skull

TYLER @ Cheers dude!!! Yeah, well he's not my top choice of course, just putting a bit of freshness in castings with CAP in lol, though i kinda like him a lot but different tastes lol!

Actually i remember BUCKY was an always been your pick for BELL kudos for that! Yeah i can see him sooo much as BUCKY, though not in the WINTER SOLDIER role, like you i like whats his name, i forgot the dudes name but you know who i mean! ; D

Lol about Lewis, and cheers again man, i was gonna use a few more picks ive got, pictures (not casting pictures) but i thought they might be best saved for part of the massive casting we're all doing, damn thats gonna kill us lol!

CRITIC @ I will help you with that man, i'll e-mail the info to ya!! and cheers dude!!! Yeah CAPS not my personal choice, just again, putting a few fresh faces in the mix, don't wanna keep churning out the same casts over an over again lol, ppl get bored! : D

ANIL @ Cheers, um you know these are just alternative picks right?? Well the main characters like CAP & NAMOR anyway!

; D

himynameiszach @ Do you live in a cave dude, lmao???!

BATMANKNIGHT @ Yeah dude i saw them, i like 'em, did you not get my e-mail when i replied to the letter you sent me??

Oh i also wanted to say that i hate the Captain America pick. He looks like a complete douche bag. I think Eric Johnson(Smallville, Flash Gordon) would be a good Captain America if they went with a more unknown actor.

I didn't get your response. When did you send it? If you could send it again it would be great.

BatmanKnight @ Read above lol, its not my pick as such, im just putting a fresh face out there, and dude by the way, ERIC JOHNSON is a complete douche bag of douche bags heh heh, man wtf did they do to Flash Gordon lol??? Babes were nice though, i'll give you that, but thats in it, really hated that actor when he was in SMALLVILLE too! ; D

About 2 days ago man, when you left a message in my GREEN LANTERN CORPS casting?? I'll send another dude!

LEEE@Sorry But hate the Cap pick I rather have Worthington for the role(although I am warming up to him). But It'd be cool if They had an Invaders cameo in First Avenger.
I like Jaimie Bell for Bucky but I dont think he could play Winter Soldier,I like Joseph Gordon Levitt for a older more mature Bucky.

But overall nice cast dude even though I only know half of these charecters.

SPILOX @ Cheers buddy!!! ; )

INSPACE @ JAMIE BELL isn't my pick for WINTER SOLDIER lol!!!???

Dude @ GUYS @ The CAP pick up top is for an INVADERS movie not a CAP or AVENGERS movie, its just a different pick, not changed my picks, just making it a bit fresher when casting CAP!!!!

Just a fresh face put up!! ; D

But unless you've seen him act how can you judge lol? Dunno why i bother lol, im not explaining it a tenth time heh heh! Kudos! : D

Great cast LEE! I havent seen your Cap choice in anything but visually I'd say he's a much better choice than that Geoff Stults guy!!

Good to see Burn Gorman up there especially as he's also my top pick for Union Jack!

As for your other choices, I like all of them (even though I have my own picks that I'm set on for most of them) and I especially like your Churchill, Whizzer and Spitfire picks! (Yvonne Strahovski is one of the most beautiful women on Earth IMO) I do think Hugh Laurie would make a better Faustus though! :P

Oh and the brilliant DogsOfWar has managed to find us a chronological list so I'm going to start work on the first casting batch this weekend!
