First Promo Image From Genndy Tartakovsky's Animated POPEYE Film
While possibly giving us a look at the film's art style, the first promo for Genndy Tartakovsky's animated feature film 'Popeye' may even give us a small hint at what the plot of the spinach-eating sailor's latest film will be.
Everybody's favorite spinach eater will be returning to the big screen soon, and we now have our first promo image from the movie. The release date has been constantly moved around to give the studio more time to work on the film, with the current release date remaining unknown for now, however we can most likely expect it to be released in 2016 if they get things on track, which is a possibility considering that we see them starting to do some promotion. This may not be the exact art style used in the show, and we don't even know if the setting is any representation of what the movie will be, but if it is, we may be able to expect a classic Popeye / Olive Oyl / Bluto adventure. The movie was scripted by The Smurfs' Jay Scherick and David Ronn and directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, who directed Hotel Transylvania. The film will probably start rolling faster as soon as Tartakovsky finishes up with the sequel to the animated vampire-flick. Check out the promo image below.
