As i said Other Side contacted me about a new candidate as Peter Parker and i think its quite a killer pick, he saw someone say the name ages ago in the comments section and told me all about it, yeah what was he thinking lol! : P
Anyways this article is mainly to see how Jean Luc-Bilodeau (Kyle XY) holds up with the heavy hitters (favorites) at CBM.com.
Jean-Luc Bilodeau:
Height
5' 8½" (1.74 m)
Born November 4, 1990, is a Canadian actor best known for his role as Josh Trager in the ABC Family channel program Kyle XY.
Bilodeau first appeared in a film called Ill Fated (2004) in which he played the role of young Bobby. He has been cast in a horror movie named Trick 'r Treat as Schrader, on DVD October 6, 2009.
Filmography
Ill Fated (2004) - as Young Bobby
Trick 'r Treat (2009) - as Schrader
Spectacular! (2009) - as the Star-Spangled Boy
16 Wishes (2010) - as Jay Kepler
Television
Kyle XY (2006-2009) airing on ABC Family.
Supernatural (Guest Star: "It's The Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester")
The Troop (Guest Star: as Lance Donovan in "Tentacle Face")
Strange Brew (2010 "Pilot")
I've seen the guy act and even took the time to check his acting ability on the show Kyle XY and i can say without a doubt i think we do have a winner here, you could believe this guy is a teenage high school Peter Parker, well he is actually 19 and looks a spitting image as Parker too.
I never really liked anyones picks that much, though to be honest I've been a bit biased as I've always liked Jake Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko) as the rebooted Spider-man though that can't happen now as he's too old for the High school Pete.
I'm even thinking an Ultimate Spidey movie wouldn't be that bad as one, you can distance it far away from the Raimi franchise and two, if Marvel Studios or should i say when they get Spidey back they can start it all again and it'll feel fresh. Nothings confirmed yet but i'm like 85 percent believe Webb will want a Ultimate Spider-man movie just by picking this and that up with all his interviews.
Anyway be it Ultimate or be it classic lets hope we get a great Spider-man movie that we'll all love. Heres the other fan favorite picks, i think their all here:
Josh Hutcherson, Logan Lerman, Emile Hirsh, Aaron Johnson and Zac Efron.
Josh Hutcherson:
Height
5' 7" (1.70 m)
Joshua Ryan "Josh" Hutcherson (born October 12, 1992) is an American film and television actor. He began performing in the early 2000s, appearing in several minor film and television roles. He gained wider exposure with major roles in the 2005 films Little Manhattan and Zathura, the 2006 comedy RV, the 2007 family adventure film Firehouse Dog, the film adaptations of Bridge to Terabithia, Journey to the Center of the Earth and Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant. On March 30, 2008, Hutcherson won a Young Artist Award (for Leading Young Actor). Hutcherson was also featured on a Celebrity Teens edition of the hit show MTV Cribs. He is also set to play Robert in the Red Dawn remake.
I've seen Zathura but i don't remember him so i'm on the fence with this one.
Logan Lerman:
Height
5' 8" (1.73 m)
Logan Wade Lerman (born January 19, 1992) is an American teen actor from California, best known for his latest film, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, which was released in theaters on February 12, 2010. Lerman began appearing in television commercials in the mid 1990s, moving to work in feature films and television in the early 2000s, when he starred on the series Jack & Bobby (2004-2005) and in the feature films The Butterfly Effect (2004) and Hoot (2006). Lerman gained further recognition due to his role in the 2007 western 3:10 to Yuma, as well as his work in the 2009 films Gamer and My One and Only.
Now only beef i have with this guy is he already has a superhero franchise which is Percy Jackson.
Emile Hursch:
Height
5' 7" (1.70 m)
Emile Davenport Hirsch (born March 13, 1985) is an American television and film actor. He began performing in the late 1990s, appearing in several television films and series, and became known as a film actor after roles in Lords of Dogtown, The Emperor's Club, The Girl Next Door, Alpha Dog, and Into the Wild. In 2008, Hirsch starred in Speed Racer and Milk. He recently participated in Summit on the Summit, an expedition to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro to raise awareness of the need for clean water in the world.
Again only beef is he has a superhero franchise, Speed Racer, and also maybe he's a little too old for a teenage Peter Parker.
Aaron Johnson:
Height
5' 11" (1.80 m)
Aaron Johnson (born 13 June 1990) is an English actor whose professional work includes performances on stage, television, and in feature films. He began performing at age six, and appeared in films such as Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging and The Illusionist before graduating to starring roles in films such as Nowhere Boy, in which he played John Lennon, and the superhero movie Kick-Ass.
Didn't know he was English, well he sold me and would in fact be top if he hadn't already basically done Peter Parker in Kick-Ass, pity and basically he has a superhero franchise (you see a pattern here).
Zac Efron:
Height
5' 10½" (1.79 m)
Zachary David Alexander "Zac" Efron (born October 18, 1987) is an American actor and singer. He began acting professionally in the early 2000s, and became known to young audiences after his roles in the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical, the WB series Summerland, and the 2007 film version of the Broadway musical Hairspray. In 2007, right before the release of High School Musical 2, Rolling Stone declared him the "poster boy for tweenyboppers" and featured him in their late August 2007 issue.
Now where to start on Zac, heck i wont lol. Maybe he could pull it off i don't know, but i know one thing, i'd have have High School Musical tracks popping into my head every time i see him as Peter Parker at High School.
Oh one more for fun and hey maybe you'll even like, its another one from Other Side who is
Steven R. McQueen:
Height
6' (1.83 m)
Steven R. McQueen (born July 13, 1988) is an American actor, best known for his recurring role as Kyle Hunter in Everwood. Since 2009, he has had a supporting role in The CW Television Network show The Vampire Diaries. McQueen is the grandson of Steve McQueen, the son of Chad McQueen, and the stepson of retired Canadian NHL hall of famer, Luc Robitaille.
Soon to be in the new Piranha 3-D movie, yay lol. I've seen this actor only act in Minute Men and he wasn't that bad, i could see him as Pete but i'm on the Jean-Luc Bilodeau boat me thinks.
Many thanks to Wikipedia and link below.
LEEE-777 - Okay vote below and i'd just like to say this is not a poll as such, CBMer OZY has already done that here, but you can go to one of his articles and vote there if you have not yet. Here is just to see how Jean-Luc Bilodeau holds up against the big guns and see if you really like the idea of this pick.
I for one thinks its a great pick, thanks for reading, comments below.
