Dark Horse Presents image from the Dark Horse comic book upon which the movie is based on, directed by Zack Snyder and written by Frank Miller Xerxes.



LEEE777 - If done right this could become another comic book movie masterpiece, after all who doesn't like the original 300? Will be released sometime in 2011, but of course that date can change.

Frank Miller is Senil. The Spirit,All Star Batman & Robin...he can only write ONE thing: The psychopath hero. Leonidas,Batman in TDKR, Marvin...and he haven't done anything good in years. Should stay doing comercials.

And Zack Snyder ALWAYS makes the bad guy gay. Even though,if you know the least about history,homossexualism is way more deep in Spartan's culture than Persian's. The same thing with Ozymandias.

So,in the end: Lame writer/director wanting money + lame director + useless sequel to a nice yet mindless story...just make the math.

I thought it was supposed to be about Themystocles. Oh well, Xerxes actually was a badass. He fought a panther with only a spear when he was a young man

@GinGuilt Ozymandias wasn't gay because of Snyder, he was gay in the graphic novel you just have to sift through all the clues. Snyder just made it more apparent.

Frank Miller is an amazing writing and artist, but he cant direct for shit. I have no doubt this movie will be as sick as 300

@GrayFox1025 All the clues? A psycopath righ-wing radical thinks that "he might be gay" because he's 40,single and in nice shape. That's it. The character in the novel don't express any traces of sexuality whatsoever.

Snyder took this and transformed the most complex character in comicbook history into a complete queer dancing with the Village People and David Bowie in front of Studio 54.

I love Zack Snyder as a director, but I agree that he raped Ozymandias. But that wasn't entirely his fault because the actor was terrible, but he should never have been hired.

And seriously, the last news article that was posted said that it was confirmed that this was going to be about Thermysticles. Was that just total bullshit? I was psyced cuz he had the potential to be just as cool as Leonidas, while Xerxes never could.

I'm pretty sure somebody just made up information and posted it lol

El @ Apart from Robocop 2 & 3 (I think?) all his done is Sin City/300/Spirit... I call that good and the good ourweighing the bad! (Spirit)

I'm excitied Frank's on this, now if only we could get FRANK MILLER on the DAREDEVIL REBOOT!

p.s. Boys... whatever was done or wasn't done in WATCHMEN doesn't mean sh1t... that movie is one of the best superheo movies ever made in Hollywood standards... Look at X3, Warzone and tell me WATCHMEN isn't a masterpiece!

@Lee777 Sin City was made between 1991-1992...sooo...almost 20,19 years ago. So,mainly,the GOOD you say he's done,is Sin City and 300,and he just wrote these comics. And breaking news: the 300 comic it isn't that good. It is good as a movie,but the comic,its just meh. Miller doesn't have much to do with de 300 or the Sin City movie,too,although his name is all there...what he REALLY have done,is Spirit(in movies)and THE GODDAMN BATMAN in comics.

About Watchmen,no,in my oppinion,it's worst then X3. I guess people like it because the little glimpses of genious that remained from the book,but the ones who read it "right",the movie offers nothing but waste of potential,stiff acting,and contradictions to the reasons why WATCHMEN is WATCHMEN. But people often think its really faithful just because how it looks and the main story is the same,you know.

And the actors were great in it, only thing was the squid, but it is deff the bar other comic book movies should look up to!

KICK A$$ was near there!

@LEEE777 I agree with ya man, Watchmen is one of the best comic book movies there is so far, everything was great and as much as i would have loved to see the squid i respect Snyder for doing the ending he did. Look at it from a non fan perspective, you're watching this movie n then out of no where at the end a giant alien squid spawns in NY and destroys half the city, im sure everyone in the theaters would have been like "DUDE WTF???"

Kick-ass is another great adaptation. in my opinion it is the only movie so far which is better in every way than the source material, that my friends is no easy task to achieve.
