I may have found the next Joker!

Ladies and gentlemen, I present Heath Ledger's successor...
Alright, so it's not true, but the similarities are uncanny. I can't believe I've never noticed before, or that this hasn't been suggested before, but I believe Joseph Gordon Levitt would make a great successor for Heath. I mean physically, their characteristics are very, very close (See compilation of images below. 1.)JGL; 2.)Heath Ledger, Joker prosthetics, no makeup; 3.) JGL w/mock-up of scars and makeup) Plus they've worked together before (see 10 Things I Hate About You [great movie!]) and JGL has been moving up in the movie world as of late. I think he'd honestly do a very good job. Other opinions?

I don't know why everyone likes that guy as Iceman but Joker I can see a little. He looks kinda douchey though

If you've ever watched a few of his movies, he is a great actor. He does do a lot of lovey drama kinda things, but then again so did Heath.
AdamFalcon - 11/5/2009, 9:39 PM
The only thing I saw was that ten things or something
ClintEastwood - 11/5/2009, 9:57 PM
Nooooo! I like him too much to play a villain! If JGL is playing anybody, it should be Amadeus Cho or something.

I'd rather have Paul Bettany.

nupe he cant pull it for did you see him in gi joe wtf was that ;p.
legionbecks - 11/5/2009, 11:24 PM
No offense to you, ybut I am tired of one person castings.

But I do like JGL, but not for Joker. I want Jude Law for the role
THEHAWK - 11/6/2009, 12:01 AM
Daniel Day Lewis!

SHHH - 11/6/2009, 12:59 AM
JGL is perfect for it. G.I. Joe had no excuse but still. he could do it. i know it
ManOfIron - 11/6/2009, 1:32 AM
Whichever CBM can get Daniel Day Lewis will be a major coup, that guy is an insane actor. Just imagine him as Kraven bringing that "There Will Be Blood" intensity to the hunt...........Spiderman just pooped his pants!!!
breakUbatman - 11/6/2009, 4:31 AM
@SHHH Daniel Day Lewis is a great pick, but I don,t think Batman is political or historical enough for him
scarface - 11/6/2009, 6:04 AM
ive never seen this guy act, but he does look kinda like ledger, enough so u prob wouldnt notice under the prothetics. although id rather have someone who looks nottin like him and can perform the part amazing, than someone who looks like him bt may not do so well

woo hoo!
jallanr - 11/6/2009, 6:09 AM
I've suggested Leviit about 20 times.
Jp499 - 11/6/2009, 6:54 AM
day lewis or bettany are amazing picks...levitt? why cuz he looks like him? what performance warrants a JGL nod? certainly not 10 things or gi joe rise of cobr-ASS??...JGL seems a shot in the dark and he may work as joker...but dudes...DDL or P-bettany are way better choices...so too is johnny depp, cuz he can act and pull off anything
Anil Rickly - 11/6/2009, 8:13 AM
I can definitely see him as the Joker. Granted yes, GI Joe was lame, but that was hardly his fault.
Stumblin - 11/6/2009, 8:26 AM
I said this half a year ago. But, thank you falcon for pointing it out. He was and the only choice I chose to replace Ledger for the next film. Nice choice bruh....
Minotauro - 11/6/2009, 9:25 AM
We've had this up before bro!!

And all i see is the kid from 3RD ROCK FROM THE SUN!!

: D

Still love the idea of CRISPIN GLOVER myself!!

LEEE777 - 11/6/2009, 9:55 AM
Nah he's been suggested before man, like A LOT, but i think he'd be alright. I prefer Crispin Glover but thats for more of a reboot, classic Joker. Levvit for scarred Joker.
Ryden - 11/6/2009, 12:10 PM

Guys see The Look-Out great film with Levitt in it
InSpace - 11/6/2009, 2:11 PM
Sanfordpunk@I liked him in Dexter but havent seen him anywhere else
InSpace - 11/6/2009, 2:12 PM
Erm... 1st thing, this HAS been suggested many many times on here. 2nd, you've strolled in taking credit for an idea most of us had a long time ago. f you've been living in a cave on mars with your eyes closed and your fingers in your ears for the last year then I'll let you off. Fair enough if you honestly hadn't seen it before but you could have worded your article a little better, ie. "I don't think anyone else has thought of this", rather than "I can't believe I've never noticed before, or that this hasn't been suggested before"

Here's our next Joker...

Del Toro or Hamill, can anyone say "perfection".

Howlett04 - 11/7/2009, 4:17 AM
dude hes great as joker if you seen him in the lookout and he did a great job as cobra in g.i.joe
flames809 - 11/7/2009, 8:19 AM
@flames- GI Joe sucked and he did a bad job in it, however I sdo like JGL in other things and he'd make a good scarred Joker
Ryden - 11/7/2009, 1:13 PM
I've been saying this for months, glad there's somebody out there who thinks like me

TheSoulEater - 11/7/2009, 4:00 PM
Ryden- HE DIDNT SUCK HE PLAYED THE CRAZY.PHYSICAL KILLING GUY AND THATS GOOD FOR THE JOKER AND HE COULD ACT GREAT IN THOSE TYPE OF CHARACTERS

TheSoulEater- THEY DO LOOK ALIKE AND HE WOULD MAKE A GREAT JOKER AND THEY BOTH WERE GOOD FRIENDS
flames809 - 11/7/2009, 6:08 PM
Jgl would be great as the next joker it has been mentioned before but he's the closest looking to heath and he has the chops to knock this role out and make it his own without soilin heaths performance the other choices that have been mentioned are good but more for a different continuity or batman-verse if you will....they just look more like a different interpretation of the character imo
SabretoothTiger - 11/8/2009, 10:33 AM
He's do a great job but I doubt they'll ever recast The Joker in this franchise.
TonyDark - 11/15/2009, 2:28 AM
@Sanford- Your choice is pretty cool and original, that guy was great on Dexter.
