In a surprising and sadly tragic article from THEHAWK, CBMers got together to show their love for one of the greatest contributors Comicbookmovie.com has ever had. Steven "TheMyth" Devers has fallen ill to cancer and unfortunitely had very little chance of survival. I am happy to hear that he is on the road to recovery and might even be home for Christmas!!! So to thank him for having graced all our lives with his presence, i have decided to pay homage to him by sketching the first contribution he had ever given us in the form of a fan cast.

Myth, thank you ever so much for every critique, compliment and advice you ever gave us. We are better human beings today simply from having known you. Thank you for laughing with us, sharing with us, educating us and putting us back in our places. You are definitely part of the foundation that has made this website the skyscraper it is today! I offer you this in your honor and in hope that you will soon join us again, alive and well, to witness what you helped accomplish. Although many had discouraged you from continuing to fancast your favorite heroes early on, i am proud to say that YOU were right! You're keen intellect, intuition and sense of judgement captured what most of us couldn't. Fox would have definitely benefited from your enlightenment. In other words, you certainly hit the nail on the head with this one! My brother, this is for you:

In a tragic motorcycle accident, the very author of the tribute article to TheMyth is now unconscious in the hospital. Please also share your thoughts and well wishes to THEHAWK and THEPHOENIX in this season of miracles. Get back to us soon HAWK & MYTH for we sorely miss you both!!!

As per usual Shaman...excellent work and an excellent tribute. I can honestly say that I am one of the few who is in agreement with THEMYTH, I think Cassell would be an awesome Gambit.

Awesome pic Shaman as usual. I always loved Myths choice of Vincent Cassel as Gambit.

hate to hear that about hawk. take it easy man, dont rush your recovery. I'll try to help take up some of the 'troll conquering ' slack. we gotta keep em in their place.

Nice drawing Shaman, I hope they all get better.
As for the casting choice, I dont know.
I've really only seen the guy in Derailed and Eastern Promises, both of which I thought he was really good in, but based on his performences I think hed make an epic Bullseye.

I am so jealous of you, you are an amazing artist. I never get sick of looking at your drawings. Please never stop drawing or this website wouldnt be the same. Your Gambit pic is awesome!

@SHAMAN It is just lovely! Myth would love it.

Can I make a request of something HAWK wanted sketched?

@Everyone. HAWK is still unconcious, the docs say he may come too eventually. He was on his harley when he was hit by a guy in a pick up who ran a red light. Hawk was thrown several feet from the bike and slammed into a wall. thankfully he was wearing a helmet. he has several broke bones and would be in a lot of pain if he was conscious.

Great tribute Shaman. I'm sure Myth would've liked it. I think Cassel could do it. He ight be a little old though.

@THEPHOENIX-Sucks to hear about HAWK, some people need to learn how to drive. My girlfriend got in a car accident the other day when a Jeep slammed into her side of the car. She broke some bones but got out alright, and we sued the guy that did it. I know how it feels even though its not as bad as HAWK. He's one of my favorite people on here with the best stories and hes been a great influence me writing my own. Hope he gets well soon.

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!

Hawk has finally regained consciousness!!!!

He came too about three hours ago, and according to the doctors he should be good, but he is a little disoriented and in a lot of pain from his other injuries.

HAWK, BUDDY, PAL, PARTNER!!! GREAT TO HAVE YOU BACK AMONG US :)) I KNEW you'd be back!!! I could have bet on it!!! Sorry if i didn't reply to your e-mails (if you sent any) but i won't have access to them until tuesday. YOU DAMN RIGHT i'll be sketching your MarVell request!!! Probably right after i'm done with my Battle Angel Alita sketch ;) Both should appear next weekend if everything goes according to plan!

BTW, LOVE your thundercats moving avatar and what's damn funny and weird about it is that i wanted one of the opening for thundercats as well LOL :P But only the part where we see each thundercat one after the other ending with lion-o stopping a blast with his sword. That part has always given me chills everytime i saw it :)) TOTALY UNDISPUTED BEST ANIMATION EVER MADE!!!

She made me this one and herself one from AVATAR. I like hers, Avatar was great.
