An extra chosen for Zack Snyder's Superman reboot dropped a bit of info concerning her role in the film saying she'll be in a 'natural disaster' scene...

A Henry Cavill fanpage on Facebook recently congratulated someone for being chosen as an extra in Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman reboot, Man Of Steel. The extra vaguely describes her scene below (with a spoiler warning, of course)...

"I'm going to be in a scene where a natural disaster happens. Went to a casting call 3 1/2 weeks ago for extras and was selected."


Not much, I know, but it'd be interesting to see what sort of disaster could take place. What do you guys think? Sound off your thoughts below in the usual place!

@demonhunter15- No offense man but I gotta agree with "SHHH" on this one. This film SHOULD NOT incorporate ANYTHING from the Donner films. The donner films are in the past where they f'n belong.

No more of that tectonic plate in the earth crap for a Superman film. I don't even want a tornado- that was in SupermanIII

For some new natural disaster, give us a cyclone- i know similar to a tornado but different enough since it is in the water. That or just a really powerful hurricane.

Something different for once.

@ClarkKent1985- Once again I gotta agree with you there. Superman TAS and the Fleischer stuff were the TRUE Superman stories.

I can tell you it's a car scene with a tornado and it is taking 3 days of "extra" time, 10-12 hrs...but only as an "unconfirmed" source...

Just hope they are not gonna spend too much time with background and not enough time with action type story...

@GDSUPERGUY- Um...facts?

Snyder stated this film won't be based on the comics. I doubt Birthright will play any sort of role in this film. If it did I'd be surprised since...Zod being in the film is a sure-bet that it won't be based on Birthright.

Lex Luthor using a fake kryptonian invasion. Would be a great film. But again- doubtful Birthright will play any sort of role.

Not to nitpick with you LP4, but how can you have a water-based cyclone in Kansas? Tornadoes are common in that part of the country so I'm okay with that being the natural disaster. As far as the whole earthquake/tectonic plate pushing thing goes, I agree. Leave the Donner crap in the past where is belongs. We want a new story.
