UPDATE: TDKR: New Action Figure/Statue Of Bane Spotted

Yet another action figure for Chris Nolan's upcoming conclusion to his Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, has been revealed, depicting Tom Hardy as the villainous Bane. Check it out after the jump.

Every hero has a journey. Every journey has an end. Christopher Nolan returns to complete the epic Gotham trilogy that launched with Batman Begins and reached the stratosphere with the billion-dollar blockbuster The Dark Knight. Inception's Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levett join the cast regulars along with Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle and Tom Hardy as the powerful villain Bane, while Oscar winner Christian Bale prowls the night as the Caped Crusader, fighting crime and corruption with the help of Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman.

We've seen various action figures for the upcoming Batman threequel before (especially at the recent Toy Fair), but someone over at the TDKR Facebook group posted the below shot of a figure/statue (Hot Toys?) of Bane, played by Tom Hardy. What I especially found interesting was the broken Batman mask next to Bane, which is a nice touch. Check it out below:

Thanks again to the TDKR FB group for the heads up. Share your thoughts below in the usual place.

UPDATE: As some of you have noted in the comments, the above figure is actually a custom figure. It's still pretty cool though, definitely had me fooled.

Starring Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Marion Cottilard, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Morgan Freeman & Jospeh Gordon Levitt, The Dark Knight Rises is set to hit theaters July 20th, later this year.

Definitely a statue; unless their new action figures line will come with no articulation at all! And it looks a bit odd to see Bane holding a gun...he better not use it much in the movie.

Now where are the batman fans saying that Nolan doesn't do toys and lunch boxes.... Just saying... :)

I do like Bane there. Looks pretty cool. Can't wait!

It looks like a custom made figure to me. Notice the sloppy texturing on the bane mask and the plastic gun in his hand. Also, the batman mask is not to scale with the figure.

I MAY be wrong, though.

@ksommer. I don't know if you can put blood & handguns in lunchboxes. :)

This is supervising your team for months and months, to the point where you feel that they need you so much more than you need them because they just can't function without you holding their hands.

You take a week off, do a whole bunch of completely unrelated things, maybe even go on vacation, and then come back and find that your team looks like they did the same.

But instead they switched planes and ended up in Zurich, went on a road trip, and ended up flying back to the states out of Amsterdam.

I'm just not seeing Bane. I hope Tom Hardy gives us Bane in his performance at least.

@ "isnt that batman mask a bit small".... it is, hopefull this means that bane will be significantly bigger then Bats in the movie... which i'm really hoping for!!!!

Alot of these toys (including this one) have been pretty horrible.

The only ones that looked like people put effort into were the three busts of bane, batman, and catwoman. Those had great detail in the face and everything.

This one looks like a rush job, and it might be the angle, but the batman mask looks stuipid

@PaulRom it is Hot Toys, which is why it looks cool.

Broken bloody Batman mask is awesome and do I see a gun in Bane's hand?

No it's an action figure. One of the rare exceptions where it doesn't suffer from not having scans of the actor's face (obvious reasons). It has little holes in the heels for tiny pegs to fit into, hold it in place on the stand. A statue wouldn't have that kind of overlay between the shoulder and the arm, as it's just not poseable. This one obviously allows for articulation.

that blood around the Batman mask better be from Banes fist and not his gun.

Jolt17 - 2/24/2012, 9:02 AM
Oh, yeah; the mask does look way too small, too, and doesn't look like it's very well-sculpted.

Also, I don't think it's a Hot Toys product...it just doesn't seem like one! Far too inferior for that, IMO.

is that a hatchet or a gun? if it's a hatchet that's f'n balls to the walls cool

Bane looks so awful, I have seen people take liberties with characters but BANE is an abomination and looks like complete and utter shit, I can't believe people like his mask it looks idiotic!
Jolt17
Jolt17 - 2/24/2012, 9:14 AM
Well, there's indeed some sort of a gap between the shoulder and the arm that might be a point of articulation - can be just the sculpting of the jacket, IMO - but other than that, I believe none can be spotted! (The legs especially, they look like they're just that.) Also, we can see that Bane only stands on the front parts of his feet, while the heels are lifted; that shouldn't be just pegs of the stand fitted into holes in his feet. The base also looks like the one usually used for statues than action figures (they're usually more variative), and etc.

Oh, well; but whatever, I guess! Let's just wait and see what this thing turns out to be - at least we know there's something we can get. :)

I dont think its from HotToys, it looks like crap, lol. It also looks like a statue. And why is Batman's mask so small?

Anyone else notice Bane is holding a gun?

Holy shit. Until I read your comments I never noticed the gun. Interesting stuff. He's a military leader, so he should have a gun. Although, his fist are the only weapon he needs.

The Joker told us why he doesn't use guns and bane..uses a gun. So we know that Bane's on the opposite side of that issue. he's probably a guy who wants to get his plan done effectively without unnecessary delays and maybe he shoots batman in the leg or spine so that he might need a cane? That would be pretty cool. I didn't think bane would use guns but as a mercenary he'd probably know how to use any type of weapon.

I dont normally see statues for movies that depict something not in the film, see it in toys, figureines but statues are normally a dipiction of a scene or classic characteristics of a character in a movie. plus this bat mask has blood splatter to, this makes me think that the whole mask smashed, bloody beaten batman things actually gonna happen in the movie unlike before when it could of just been a kinda wink to the comics in the posters or methor for batmans journey. The gun kinda just backs up the point bane is more terrorist than classic bane of the comics.
