Marvel Studios' third
Iron Man movie (which is described as
"a huge tech-James-Bond-thriller") is currently filming in Wilmington, North Carolina, and now we have some more info on what we can expect from the threequel's villains (played by Ben Kingsley and Guy Pearce).
Latino Review, who has been doing a great job of revealing exclusive details on the film's production, has confirmed that (
possible spoilers) that Kingsley will be playing none other than The Mandarin (despite Marvel's denying that the character will make an appearance). Yesterday, we heard that Mandarin will be the villain, but that there will be 'twins' who work for him. However, Latino Review is saying that this isn't true.
Additionally, the site says that Mandarin won't have as big of a role as Aldrich Killian (played by Guy Pearce), who is said to be the primary antagonist of the film. Killian is the man who invents "Extremis" and an "Extremis army". Lastly, William Sadler's reps and Marvel both said "No Comment" when asked about the actor's involvement (which was another scoop that Latino Review recently broke).
Directed by Shane Black and starring Robery Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall and James Badge Dale,
Iron Man 3 is set to hit theaters May 3rd, 2013.
