Fox's FRANKENSTEIN Adaptation Gets A 2014 Release Date

With Daniel Radcliffe reportedly on board as Igor, 20th Century Fox has set a fall 2014 release date for its live action adaptation of Frankenstein. Find out when the film hits theaters after the jump.

According to ERC Box Office, 20th Century Fox has set its live action Frankenstein adaptation for an October 17th, 2014 theatrical release date. Paul McGuigan (Sherlock) is attached to direct from a script written by Chronicle's Max Landis, while Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is said to be locked down to play the hunchback Igor. Shawn Levy was originally set to direct the adaptation, but dropped out due to budget/scheduling issues. The film is one of multiple Frankenstein productions in development, including Lionsgate's 2014 release I, Frankenstein. Stay tuned to CBM for more new on Frankenstein. BUT seriously, how much are studios fighting for films and characters these days. First Fox and Marvel have it out over Quicksilver usage...now Lionsgate and Fox bringing out a Frankenstein movie out the same year..Jeez..

I sincerely thought that Chipwrecked would be the last of the Munks within the foreseeable future. I gave up after the second film.

@SotoJuiceMan: We ALL know that! Its just that they are polluting the younglings' minds with this crappy idea of Alvin and the Chipmunks! They didn't grow up with the cartoons like most of us did. Alvin and the Chipmunks deserve MUCH better than that crap they put their names on!
