I wonder how many times Hollywood can milk this dead cow of a story. Yea it's a classic, I understand that, but damn. Give us some kind of new twist or spin to it. May or may not be good, but we the fans deserve something better than just a retelling of this dinasaur aged story.

I'm still waiting for a faithful adaptation of Mary Shelley's original story. Any other literature geeks with me? That being said, if McAvoy's and Eckhart's look good, I'll probably see them.
Greengo

Well we've seen how how White House Down did on the heels of Olympus Has Fallen.

No wonder Hollywood is in crisis.

They need to continue with the Biblical epic trend.

The Bible was massively successful and has/will spawn multiple series, books, etc, etc.

Aronofsky's interpretation of the story of Noah will probably do very well.

Hollyweird is so squeamish, it's like all the studio's don't want any risk and would rather use and reuse stories and plots over and over again, occasionally even months apart, than to take a financial risk on something different.

Biblical epics where hugely successful in the past. But anti-Christian Hollywood doesn't want to lend any of what the perceive to be credence to Christianity.

Fortunately Hollywood is money motivated and those types of films and projects pay dividends.

Hollywood saw how successful The Passion was.

I guess they were waiting until someone other than Mel Gibson proves it.

@Greengo: The majority of the U.S. is christian. Why would hollywood be afraid of making biblical movies? I'm not personally christian but I enjoy biblical movies. From Hell used to be one of my favorites.

Not From Hell, Ninth Gate. Though From Hell is still pretty good.

Yea, more Biblical epics would be nice. Hopefully, Noah is really good with that awesome cast.

Ya'll are funny as hell saying that most of this country is "Christian". (see what I did there?)

Greengo is exactly right, Hollywood is almost entirely Anti-Christian, nigh Satanic.

Ya'll saw how quick they canned Paradise Lost. It does not get more Biblically epic than that (though not at all canonical).

We'll get a deluge after Noah, though. Pun intended.

The same problems were posed with Avatar, it still got made. But I wasn't even trying to correlate that with the FACT that Hollywood is Satanic. That would be stupid, it's a movie ABOUT Satan. Dumb shit.

He asked to make Spider-Man too, didn't get made.

You can't "responded" to it because you aren't intelligent enough to recognize an insult of that magnitude.

You need some adult "observation" yourself, sport.
