Disney/Lucasfilm Register Domains For STAR WARS Project Titled ATTACK SQUADRON

Presumably for an upcoming video game, Disney, Lucasfilm and EA have registered more Star Wars domains for an unidentified project titled Attack Squadron. The location and dates for 2015's Star Wars Celebration have also been announced.

Earlier this year, Disney and Lucasfilm signed an agreement with Electronic Arts to produce new Star Wars video games. The first of these games to be announced is Star Wars: Battlefront, which is currently in development for an unspecified release date. Multiple domains were registered a few months ago as well for unspecified projects (presumably video games). Now, Fusible points out that Disney, Lucasfilm and EA have registered the following list of domains, all of which point to the name "Attack Squadron". Again, it's unknown if this is for a movie, theme park or video game, but it could very well be the latter. In other Star Wars news, the franchise's official Twitter account has confirmed that the next Star Wars Celebration convention will be held April 16th-19th, 2015 in Anaheim, CA.

I've recently bought BF2142 to play the Star Wars First Strike mod and get into the feel of what the new Battlefront would be like; it's pretty awesome. Too bad there aren't any servers!

I'm jacked the Battlefield guys are doing Battlefront. It is like a dream come true for me. Battlefield is pretty much the only videogame I play. And I play it alot.

Attack Sqd sounds like it could be a flip side to Rogue Sqd,so it's from the Empires side.That would be cool,Dambusters with Imperial pilots?

Wouldnt mind a new Battle Front, I still remember the Christmas I got Battle Front 1 and I played that for hours plus Battle Front 2 was so fun playing as jedi ans sith.

If it's finally a Clone Trooper story like "Republic Commando" I will be thrilled to bits! Jedi are great, but the Star Wars stories are saturated with them. The Star Wars universe has so much more to offer than Jedi Jedi Jedi.

I agree Sortis and plus running around as a near invincible jedi gets old. They need to make it like Black Ops but with clones. I would love to throw a couple thermal detonators at peeps.

^Dude, you are aware that the new Battlefront is in development by dice?...and it'll be a far superior experience from what you will get from black ops and the latter, I know that for sure. I don't think you'll need another Rogue Squadron if WHEN Battlefront provides us with authentic battles in space.

Ive wasted many an hour daydreaming about playing an Imperial era STAR WARS game on the level of Black Ops or Half-Life.

I really hope this is another installment in the X-Wing game franchise. I still fire up the unofficial HD patches to XWing vs. Tie Fighter with the legacy mission builds. I would love to climb into the cockpit again. I get it that Space Sims are a genre of the past, but it is a genre that has been off the scene for a decade now.
