RUMOR: Hugh Jackman Offered $100M To Reprise WOLVERINE Role For Four More Movies?

Beyond portraying Logan in The Wolverine and 2014's X-Men: Days Of Future Past, Jackman's future as the clawed mutant is uncertain. Now, a rumor claims that he has been offered a whopping $100M to continue playing the character, but he might turn down the four-picture deal.

Few actors have consistently played a certain comic book character as Hugh Jackman has. The Oscar nominated actor has played Wolverine in every single X-Men installment (counting his cameo in 2011's First Class). He recently reprised the role for The Wolverine, and is currently shooting Days Of Future Past (which hits theaters May 23rd, 2014), marking his seventh time donning the iconic claws. Beyond that, however, his future as Logan has been unclear. He hinted at potentially retiring in the near future, but also said that he was still greatly enjoying playing the character. Now, a report from National Enquirer claims that Jackman has been offered a colossal $100M deal to reprise the Wolverine role for four more movies. However, there's a good possibility that he will turn it down, as he is unsure about signing long-term deals. A "close pal" insider tells the site, "Hugh has a big decision to make. It’s not every day an actor gets offered this kind of paycheck, but Hugh vowed never to lock himself into any multipicture deals after ‘X-Men.’ He hasn’t given any kind of answer yet, so at least he’s considering it." As this news hasn't been officially confirmed in any way, take it with a pinch of salt for the time being. Do you want to see Hugh Jackman return as Wolverine yet again?

As much as I love Jackman as Logan, I feel like it's time to get some fresh blood...into the claws...or whatever.

Jezuz 100 million for one actor, wonder if everyone else in the x-men franchise will demand a pay rise if Jackman agrees to this.

I say do it. Honestly until Jackman can't play Wolverine anymore I don't want to see anyone else play him and even then it's going to be weird. Comic book fans can nitpick and say what they want about Jackman but the man loves the role and is dedicated to improving himself and the role with each time he plays him.

I Say do it. The Wolverine was a fantastic film and a great way to start a Wolverine solo film series, it would be silly not to continue.

@BlackJack10

I think that they're going to continue with the first class characters. It makes more sense to me. There's still villains who've played a major impact on certain characters such as Mr.Sinister (Scott and Jean), Shadow King (Storm) and many more!

Do it Hugh! There will never be another actor like him! So it said 4 movies? I'm going to say it's probably another X-Men, X-Force, and Wolverine, then a sequel to one of those.

Yes do it hugh has done a great job not to many have this much dedication to a comic book character/ franchise the wolverine proved with the right team they can knock it out the park. Hope he does it as long as the stories are worth telling.

And finaly black mask and yellow spandex, please, please, please!!! More comic-book style in FOX superhero movies!

It depends on how Hugh views the character. If he looks at it like a James Bond role then he might just do it. Being paid 25 million a movie would put him in the top earning actors in Hollywood. And he can still do other movies between Wolverine movies.

This is why MCU will never see the Xmen or Spider-man or Fantastic Four or any other supers outside of the brand. Movies like Wolverine don't need to make billions to turn a profit. With internatinal money, it's getting harder and harder to make a film bust. Of course Will Smith found a way but his career is on a down turn.
