The opening 20 minutes were epic, but it swiftly went down hill from there. I gave Predators a B- when I was forced to grade it. I think it paid too much homage to the original and none of the characters were as engaging as the characters in the first movie. Plus, there were tons of plot holes. A valiant effort, but disappointing.

the end ruined it for me. i didn't know they were making a comic sequel. i thought they were setting up a film sequel, which would suck because it would have been the same exact movie all over again.

I really enjoyed the movie, it's not the best in the world but it's definitely the best sequel to Predator.

The art in this comic looks like pure shit by the way as well as the coloring.

I thought the movie was awesome, but then again if you eat two sh%t burgers, getting a ham sandwich after looks amazing.

The comic has the same shading as the avp ones from the 90's...curious to see where they go w/ it. I would love a second movie though.

I thought the movie was a lot of fun. Not exactly an Oscar contender but that wasn't what I was looking for going in.

And @ ngu13: How can you even think to call the film was a "rip off" of Arnie's? It's a direct sequel. They even say so in the movie, talking about Arnie's character, "Dutch" and what happened in the 1st movie.

Then again, I guess by you reasoning, "The Godfather Part 2" was a big 'rip-off' of "The Godfather" and "Empire Strikes Back" definitely ripped off the original "Star Wars"... huh?

Honestly, if you didn't like the film, that's cool. Not everyone did & you're entitled to your opinion but calling the film a 'rip off' is just wrong, inaccurate, untrue or whatever else you want to call it that means it aint so!! -Sorry, not an opinion, just the way it is...

BTW- I really would like to see another sequel on the lines of this one.

Predators was [frick]ing awesome! The best Summer movie yet. I havent seen inception yet so that will probably beat it out. Predators was best out of series expect the original was better.

The writing in this comic is atrocious. Art isn't terrible. Pretty much agree with everyone, the beginning of the movie was setup perfectly. I all went down hill after Noland was dispatched so easily. Really, a guy who survived there for 10 years gets popped like that? Lazy writing.

@ imnotwearinghockeypants he gets poped that easy because he was trying to take out the whole crew and they notified the predators thier location. He wasnt set up to kill a predator with all his gear locked in with the group. Use your brain...

CAUTION: SPOILER!

One of the MAJOR problems I had with Predators was that in the first Predator one of the supposedly sub-class of the Predators species is capable of taking out a platoon of elite troops--and skin them--and all of Schwarz's highly-trained team, yet three "Super" Predators can't even deal with Brody's ragtag non-team group of killers. Come on! Natal said in an interview that the Super Predators were supposed to be "in training" on this planet, which would make it more legit, but they should at least explain that somewhere in the movie and not simply in an interview.

@venom, ok, smart guy, in 10 years he was never confronted with a situation like that? Survivor like that would've had had several contingency plans and wouldn't have locked all his gear in one room. Just because you bought into the lazy writing, doesn't mean it's good.

No your going to deep into a movie thats about an alien being killing humans. Now the dude was loosing his mind and with that you can slip. OMG GUYS you are seriiously going way to deep into a SCI FI movie like it should be some oscar winner. Brent the premise of the movie is that humans are dropped there so they can hunt and train. They mention that when one is killed they learn and adapt to make themselves better. I believe that was Fishburne that stated that.

I've been a huge fan since the first movie came out. I gave this movie a 10... until the last 5 minutes where (SEMI-SPOILER ALERT) Topher Grace F'ed the whole thing up to the point where it dropped it to an 8 for me. Yeah, the last 5 minutes sucked that bad. There was no need for a plot twist. This wasn't "M. Knight Shyamalan's Predators." I was perfectly fine with the thought of the Predators just giving the group a doctor, which made sense if that was the case. There was just no need for that horrible twist. I didn't see it coming, but not because it was disquised well, but because I didn't think Robert Rodriguez would feel the need to do something that horrible which has unfortunately become so cliche these days.

Other than that, I thought it did a great job feeling like a true sequel. Using the same music was key. Yeah, a couple things were a little too much homage to the original to the point where it was more than just coincidentally doing similar things in both, but if that was the worst problem with the movie then it wouldn't be worth complaining about. I wasn't really big on the Predator dogs (since they were kind of cliche as well) but at least they were made to make sense to the plot. I didn't love the wolf-faced Predators either because it kind of stole the concept of AVP ("the enemy of my enemy is my friend," a line which both films had), but minus that and Topher Grace ruining yet another CBM, I thought it was a fun movie. Maybe the DVD will have an alternate ending where Topher is sodomized by a Predator instead before his stupid plot twist scene would have taken place.
