Ray Fisher - Batman vs. Superman - Cyborg - Justice League

Ray Fisher will be making his DC cinematic debut in the Man of Steel follow up, Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. Although he will only play a minor role in Zack Snyder's sequel, Fisher's character Cyborg/ Victor Stone will then be receiving a spin off movie in 2020. EW spoke to the actor recently in the wake up Warner Brothers and DCs upcoming film slate announcement. 'I didn't know the extent to which DC and WB had planned on taking my character," he recalls,  'When I signed on, I just wanted to be part of this world. But that specific in formation, I found out then and there. I didn't think I'd be getting my own stand alone film.'  Funnily enough, the actor only found out from producers he was getting his own solo movie a few hours before the line up was publicly released.

In typical fashion, the actor remained hush when pushed for details on his role, which he has wrapped on. He did however confirm that he met Ben Affleck (Batman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and Jesse Eissenberg (Lex Luthor) on set. Is their a possibility all these actors gathered for a scene together? The absence of Henry Cavill (Superman) is particulary interesting as Fisher did say 'I met everyone in the Justice League except Henry Cavill and Ezra Miller.' Fisher may not have got to rub shoulders with The Flash and Superman but he did enjoy his 'surreal' experience: ' You get this idea of going to work on a Hollywood set as being really stressful and nerve-wracking. But it blew that stereotype away. If they did have stressful times, it wasn't while I was there.'

BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE - Zack Snyder will direct. It's written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. The film stars: Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent and Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne. The cast also includes: Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishbourne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Ma Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. Will arrive in theaters March 25th, 2016.

WB must have a lot of confidence in Fisher and Cyborg to give him a solo film.

Dead at the fact his film is last. It's like two steps forward one step back with these studios.

@PAF

The reason for that is mainly because they want to build more popularity for his character that was already a considerable amount

@Batmaniac

Theres something like creativity. Just like how the comics have creativity to make up these characters. Everything is a reinvention and new retelling

I'm glad WB took a chance on Fisher/Cyborg. There hasnt been a minority to headline his own super hero film since Hancock which was about 6-7 years ago. Sucks that this movie wont be coming out for another 6 years, but he will at least have some screen time in 3 DC movies before getting his own.

These stand alone films are dependent on BvS being a solid hit. I would like to assume that is going to happen, but it's not a given. I don't mind the inclusion of Cyborg into the JL (gender and racial diversity can grab a bigger audience) but they have to add MM for me to be satisfied.

He's a Teen Titan. Having him in the Justice League is fine, but having him replace one of the original seven in the movies is just stupid beyond all belief. Screw you, Warner Bros./David S. Goyer/Zack Snyder/DCCU.

.
Hal, Barry, Supes, Bats, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter.
And don't you forget it.

I do agree with BatmanIsBaddest J'onn is very important to the Justice League. I think Ray Fisher will be a great Cyborg, but I just wish the Martian Manhunter was going to be in Justice League too. I see no reason that the JL couldn't have been an eight member team instead of seven. I can only hope that J'onn will be in JL2.

Surprised they are doing a solo Cyborg, but I am looking forward to it more than a WW solo film and that pains me to say. I think Fisher will do a fantastic job as Cyborg.
