THEHAWK casts Superman

My cast for the new Superman movie.

This is probably the most unique Superman cast out there. I have not seen any of the actors listed here except for two.

I reposted it because it was buried in one day by one guy's articles.
Superman cast


This is the cast I have chosen for my upcoming Superman story. These are some unusual choices ad I am interested in seeing how they will be received.

Superman- Chris Hemsworth

I think that he would be perfect for a young Clark Kent.


Lois Lane- Anne Hathaway

A special thanks goes to Shaman for this amazing suggestion.


Lex Luthor- Michael C. Hall

Don’t hate it immediately. I seriously think he would be perfect for the Lex I am writing in my upcoming story.


John Corbin (Metallo)- Brian Austin Green



Jimmy Olsen- Brett Harrison



Perry White- William Shatner



Lana Lang- Scout-Taylor Compton



Jonathan and Martha Kent- John Schneider and Annette O’Toole

They were perfect in Smallville and I would love to see them on the big screen.

First! I don't think I have seen any of these actors suggested for these roles.

hmm not bad, the only one I say puts me off a little is hemsworth, i think playing both Thor and Supes is a bit too much, I mean they're to of the biggest comic book characters in history, michael c hall is a good pic for lex tho, not to sure on hathaway as lois, the rest are great

Thanks man. I thought of Hemsworth a while back. Well ryan Reynolds is Deadpool and Green Lantern. But I see him as the only younger actor that has the entusiasm that Supes has.

Glad you liked Hall for Lex, I was worried about how he would be recieved.

Interesting and original choices Hawk. Kudos on that.

I'd have to see Hemsworth with black hair first, but I could see him as Supes. I don't know if I can totally see him as Clark just yet, but I reckon he'd be a pretty good choice for the role.

Hathaway would be an excellent Lois, probably my second pick, I still really love Michelle Monaghan for Lois :)

I could see Hall as Lex, he's got a menacing look in his face and does play intelligent villain-type roles very well. Though I think Colm Feore would rock the sh*t out of Lex.

Harrison would be a great Jimmy, excellent choice there, but I see Jesse Eisenberg (Adventureland, Zombieland) as a perfect Jimmy.

Don't know about the Shat as Perry, I don't think I'd really take him seriously. Tommy Lee Jones is my number one choice for Perry.

Schneider and O'Toole would be great to see on the big screen. You're right, they were perfect on Smallville.

In short, I like all the picks quite a bit, I just have personal preferences for the majority. Great cast nonetheless though.

I think Hemsworth would do a good job, but yeah I'd have to see him wiht black hair. I was realy drawn to his face for the role. He has that honest face that anyon who plays Supes would need. And I think he could play Clark, it would be a different version of Clark than Reeves, not the bumbling nice guy. I want a confident Clark this time.

Glad you liked Hathaway, she would be perfect!

And I want Hall for the version of Lex I am writing. He is a very charismatic version of the character, and I think Hall could pull it off brilliantly!

Eisenberg is a good choice. I like it.

I think Shatner could do a good Perry. the one I am writing is a little eccentric and I think Shat could do a great job.

Especially like Michael C. Hall as Lex!
Now this is the kind of comic character
Hall should play, a villain! Not any hero!
His face just says villain all over it!

GReat casting man, very original. A lot i would have never thought of. Especially Hall as Luther. He's one of my favorite actors but I'm not sure that i could see him as Luther. But you know how to write stories so you could probably pull it off lol.

Any idea when this story might come out?

Not sure about using SMALLVILLE cast, really not sure about that id rather new cast or smallville the movie lol, but heh heh luv seeing THOR playing SUPERMAN, luv it!!

@Night. Thanks man. I know Lois will be a hard sell, btu I think she can do it.

@DDD. Thanks man, glad you liked it. I agree that Hall would be perfect as Lex. He has that natural charisma that whoever plays a modern Lex would need.

@Watchtower. Glad you liked it! The part I'm writing for Lex in my story is written specifically for Hall. It will play to all of his strengths.

@Leee. Thanks man. Glad you thought it was freah (fresh?) lol.

I'm not too keen on using the smallville Kents, btu everyone else I thought of was dead or retired... so they were all that is left that I like.
And I could easily see Hemsworth playing Supes.

Yeah he could play SUPES though i dunno what ppl will think once we see him as THOR?!

Hey is the guy an aussie? Get SAM (CAPTAIN AMERICA) WORTHINGTON to team up with him!! : D

Yeah i think the only problem would be the KENTS though, i can deal with SMALLVILLES METALLO in it, he a good METALLO but i suppose the KENTS are good, but the only problem is PA KENT is dead in the SMALLVILE-VERSE? And with them in it, it'll feel SMALLVILE.

Hey who would you want for BATS??

Good casting. I think Hemsworth could indeed be Superman. And with his hair black, hopefully he won't remind us to much of Thor. I still like David Boreanaz as Bats though, maybe not for your story. But he is my choice for Batman.

Fantastic cast, don't think I disagree with any one of these. Will Shatner especially made my day, and I think Anne Hathaway would be perfect as Lois

Hawk: Regarding Ma and Pa Kent, I really like Schneider and O'Toole, but may I give you some other suggestions, since you didn't find any living ones that you like?

I cast Bruce Greenwood and Julianne Moore in my Superman cast, I think they would do a great job.

@LEEE. I'm sorry but this is not a Marvel article so we don't want to hear abotu whispery Worthington. I actually cast BAG as Metallo in that giant casting I'm working on weeks before Smallville confirmed him. And after seeing Smallville he would be great in the role I am writing.

As for Bats... i used to want Adrian Pasadar, but now I moving towards Henry Cavill.

@6of13. Thanks man. ANd I agree Thor has long blonde hair and Superman has short black ahir, they won't look alike at all!

@Killik13. Thanks man. I think Shatner deserves a shot at a new franchise. And Hathaway has the fire Lois needs.

@Tyler. I could see Moore, but I'm not sure about Greenwood.

Hawk: Why aren't you sure about Greenwood? I think he's a great actor, and looks young for his age, but not too young that he wouldn't be believable as wise old Papa Kent ;)

Glad to see you moving towards Cavill for Bats, I started that movement on CBM I think!

BTW, who would you cast as some other Supes villains, like Darkseid and Brainiac? I personally want Michael Ironside for Darkseid and Hugo Weaving for Brainiac.

I don't know. I like Greenwood, but he just doesn't feel right.

Oh man I forgot to cast Jor-El!

Well I want Michael Clark Duncan for Darkseid.

And I either want Hugo Weaving or Patrick Stewart for Brainic. I like Stewart's voice. but Weavign can pull off that steely cold personality.

Kevin Grevioux for Doomsday.

But Lex and John Corbin are the only two villains in my Superman movie.

I like Jim Caviezel as Jor-El. And Lena Headey as Lara.

Duncan is my second choice for Darkseid, but I think Ironside is just so perfect, well, specifically his voice. He was always perfect whenever he appeared in the DC animated universe, I can't think of anyone else better for a live-action Darkseid. Of course he wouldn't be able to do the physical part, but that's what stuntmen are for ;)

Stewart would rock as Brainiac, though he may be a tad old, but he would still kick ass.

Grevioux's voice is perfect for Doomsday, even though Doomsday doesn't speak LOL :)

@Tyler. Caviezel is my choice for an older Superman... i like it! You gave me a great pick for Jor-El. thanks man.

I like Ironside for Darkseid as well, but I have always wanted Duncan for the role, not sure why, but I think it was meant for him.

And if i wrote Brainiac he wouldn't fight, he would have a secondary villain fight for him.

And Grevioux is Doomsday, and Killer Croc.

@T-Bag. Thanks man. COme on Hathaway isn't that bad. And she could pull off Lois's personality off to a T...Bag

hemsworth?...i havent seen much from him as yet...i couldnt even endorse him as thor but im optimistic...
as for superman....MATT BOMER...looks like supes and i found him to be a decent actor

Bomer is a little older than I wnated the Superman in my story. And I saw Hemsowrth in Perfect Getaway and he was pretty good. Bad movie, but he was good.

I could see Hemsworth as Superman though its unfortunate that he'll probably never play the character what with being Thor! :(

I actually think that Hathaway i pretty nice looking and I could see her as Lois...great choice there!

Im a massive fan of Dexter and would love to see Hall as Daredevil but I could see him playing a great villain - especially Lex!

Im a huge fan of Bret Harrison and as you probably know Id like to see him as either Peter Parker or Bucky but he'd make a great Jimmy Olsen!

William Shatner would make a hilarious/exellent Perry White and though I havent seen your Lan choice act she definitely looks the part! I agree - the two Smallville parents were great there and Id be happy to see them in a movie version!

Thanks man. And while it is unlikely that Hemsworth will get to play big blue since he is Thor, but look at Ryan Reynolds.

Hathaway was a suggestion by Shaman, so I have to give credit. ]

I honestly don't know how I thought of Hall as Lex. It just sort of hit me.

Harrison has that likeable charm that all of the previous Jimmy's have lacked.

And Shatner would be hilarious!

Well I was expressing my opinion. If you are not going to take critism then do not post anything on here. And I did not say it was bad I said the story need work that there was too much going on in it. And that I did not agree with some of the choice and that some were ones I had already cast. I never said it was aweful.

GREAT CAST, HAWK!!! Can't wait for your story!!! Just wait till Aziz is booted off before putting it up though ;P

And Shatner as Perry White is THE PIC that is better and better the more you mentally picture it!!! I like Jones too but he'd be too... i dunno. He's a bit stiff even though Perry is too. But there is a warmness to Perry that Jones would never pull off convincingly but Shatner has down cold!!! He is the very best actor to fill Lane Smith's shoes!!! Great choice!!!

@SHHH- I can see that actually he was pretty villanous in a Perfect Getaway, and yeah Hawk, Bizarro would be pretty cool, I'm actually coming around to the idea of him as Supes, it's a very original choice I just think that playing two comic book characters of that calibur might be a little much for the guy, but who knows. He'd make a good Nucleur Man LOL :D

Good job Except for Hemsworth ["perfect for a young Clark Kent"...he doesn't even look like Clark Kent] as Superman and the Kents from Smallville [good for Smallville but not good for a Superman movie where he's supposed to be older...Remember they're not doing his origins again on the big screen].

Michael C. Hall is a solid choice for Lex, he would own that part but I can't picture him bald. Bald or not he'd kick ass as Lex.

P.S.- Anne Hathaway looks so damn hot in that picture, the see-through shirt is priceless.

And this is a casting for a story I wrote and will soon release. It is a complete reboot of the series, and features Supes at the start of his carreer.

And glad you liked the Hall for Lex. I was worried about that one the most.

ANd Anne is hot...sorry I zoned out looking at her pic ;)
