This is a casting I have made for one of my all time favorite fighting games,
KILLER INSTINCT
I hope to one day write a full story for this, but I will give you a basic background story for the game.
In the not so distant future, the world has been decimated by war, all of the world governments have fallen. The planet is now ruled by ruthless corporations, and the most powerful of those is Ultratech. Ultratech rules the world with its vast armies and technology. It placates its citizens every year with a fierce gladiatorial tournament known as Killer Instinct!
And now to the combatants.
Fulgore
One of Ultratech's latest creations and possibly the most dangerous to date, Fulgore is the first in a planned series of cybersoldiers boasting state-of-the-art armories, worked at feverishly over the last few years by a particularly erratic Ultratech genius and his team. Dark rumors abound as to where the prototype's human parts originated - the kind of rumors nobody dares voice. Before the Fulgore Mk. I model is even finished, the scientists are already working on an upgrade: and to prove the prototype's ultimate worth, it is entered into the tournament with orders to destroy all opposition.
Being a cybernetic organism Fulgore does not need a very deep actor, mainly just someone to wear the armor, and have their voice run through a computerized filter. So anyway I think Nathan Jones would be a great choice for Fulgore
Cinder
Ben Ferris, a small-time criminal with counts of assault, breaking and entering and arson on his record, is the latest convict to be bought out of jail for Ultratech's twisted uses. His fate is to be used as a human guinea-pig in the company's chemical weapon developments, an unexpected side-effect leaving him consumed by fire but somehow, much to his own horror, still alive. He is kept confined in a top-security block until Ultratech decide to enter him into the tournament under the codename Cinder to defeat Glacius fairly and in full public view, his freedom providing the ultimate incentive.
Sam Worthington would be a great choice for Cinder.
Glacius
An alien who was captured by Ultratech and promised freedom if he wins the tournament. He gets his nickname from his body's icy liquid composition and ability to shapeshift.
This was a pretty tough choice but given his 6’4” stature, I feel that Alexander Skarsgård has the necessary skill to play Glacius.
Jago
Found abandoned as a baby at a Himalayan monastery and taken in by the Monks of the Tiger, Jago showed great promise from the start and, under the tutelage of the ancient Abbot, has swiftly become one of the Order's star pupils. During meditation he is visited by the very Tiger spirit his Order serves, which grants him great powers and chooses him to battle the sinister evil of Ultratech. At first the power threatens to overwhelm Jago's sanity, but he soon masters it and becomes the finest warrior the Order has yet fathered. The ever-present uncertainty as to his origins, however, still troubles him. Unknown to him, he is the long lost brother of Orchid
I know people will probably disagree with this choice, but I think he could do a great job, if he can be quiet for a little bit. I think Ryan Reynolds would be a great choice for Jago. He has the build, has been trained with swords and some martial arts, and can act.
Riptor
Another of Ultratech's miraculously realized concepts: a crossbreed of human and reptilian DNA, resulting in a creature that combines formidable intelligence with sheer brute strength. Nurtured from the egg by a dedicated Ultratech professor and her team, the beast nicknamed 'Riptor' by others has barely reached 4 years of age before it first demonstrates its full savage power in a human kill. Riptor is confused and often finds itself torn between human reasoning and predatory instincts, resorting to attack when it fails to understand the situation, as ever more people find out the hard way.
Since he will most likely be computer generated instead of an actual actor, I feel that we should look towards the animated world for this actor. I think the amazing Frank Welker has the skills and talents to voice this character.
Sabrewulf
Count Von Sabrewulf is stricken by lycanthropy, and is promised a cure by Ultratech if he wins the tournament. This is a semi-cameo appearance of Sabreman, known from Rare's 1984 game Sabre Wulf. Sabrewulf fights in his inherited castle as his home level, with biting and claw attacks, and the ability to howl and use his Flaming Bat, though sometimes they will not be flaming.
Liev Schreiber would be amazing to portray Sabrewulf’s human form. I love everything I have seen him in, I have wanted him for this role since I saw him in Manchurian Candidate.
Spinal
An ancient warrior from an distant land revived by Ultratech to fight in the Killer Instinct tournaments. While he seems to fight for sheer enjoyment, it is more likely he is battling simply because he lost his memory after death, since his brain couldn't regenerate. He carries a sword and shield, and has the ability to teleport and physically morph himself into a grayscale version of his opponents during combos.
This character will have to be cgi or animatronics, its a skeleton, not much else it can be. Well anyway he needs an amazing voice actor, and I feel that Hugo Weaving would have the best voice for Spinal.
TJ Combo
An aging former world heavyweight boxing champion for 5 years. He was stripped of his title and kicked out of the circuit when it was discovered that his arms had cybernetic implants (courtesy of Ultratech) which greatly helped his boxing ability. Ultratech promises him his title will be returned if he wins the tournament.
Michael Jai White is no stranger to comic book films, he has starred in Spawn, and appeared as Gambol in The Dark Knight. He brings a great degree of acting ability to his films, he is the perfect choice for Combo.
Chief Thunder
Long months have passed since the previous year's Ultratech tournament, and despite the wide-ranging searches of his tribe's supernatural phoenix allies, the Chief's beloved but overambitious younger brother has failed to return in either triumph or defeat. After much agonizing over the matter, and to great protest from his tribes folk, Thunder decides that he must suspect the worst concerning Eagle's fate, and pacifies his people by nominating himself as avenger. The Chief has no dreams of glory, taking up Ultratech's challenge with nothing but vengeance and a primal justice in mind.
Rodney A. Grant is a great, in depth actor. Despite his age, I feel he would bring such depth to this role. And even though he is 50, well Thunder wasn’t exactly a spring chicken.
B.Orchid
Hired by Ultratech as a secretary, she is actually a spy working for an unknown party and, along with Jago, appears to be the heroine of the game franchise. Her full name is Black Orchid.
Rosario Dawson, a self admitted geek and fan of the series would be great for this role. She has the build and body, can do great in action movies, and can act!
