Today Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises shoot continued in Downtown L.A.
CBM Nailbiter111 already posted one exciting video of Bane's truck dropping down a bridge.
Below are some more exciting videos and pics of the Batwing VS. Bane's truck.

When I got there they had the entire grand ave blocked off but I watched Banes truck at street level as it headed presumably into the drop from inside a lobby of a building. Then I went down on some intersection of 1st and another street behind the West Promenade hotel and talked to a security guard who was real friendly and told me he had see Morgan Freeman on set. I saw Gary Oldman's stunt double (which I tweeted about as Gary Oldman and then realized it was a double upon seeing a pap's zoom lense photo). The crew was standing around the Bane "bomb trucks" (thats what they called them on set). Some Mercs were present. Nolan was eating an ice cream cone and his kids were on set as well. I moved up back to grand ave and watched for a while outside the Disney Hall building and saw several takes of the Bane truck driving in circles around the hole where it was supposed to fall through. Then they moved the Batwing out onto Grand Ave to face the truck. Some gunfire took place and the truck was smoking. Several Gotham cars like Cabs, etc were present and covered in snow. I got REAL close to the bomb truck and I have some close pics of it to post soon. - RedSkull (SHH)

I'm sure thats a part of the shot/stunt we saw earlier. About Banes truck falling into the lower level. Maybe a shot before it falls, for editing.

being on a movie set would be awesome. I worked during the ice storm in Texarkana a few years back and it looked like a warzone everywhere, but this happening in front of you would be scary and cool.I got to be an extra in the next Little Orphan Annie movie....wait....no explosions.dam

@maddMonkk Thanks the Captain America DVD from the 70's made me remember all the DC Characters from that time. And this article leaves me wanting a Justice League film.

I hope every movie next summer is great. It is shaping up to be a summer to remember with The Avengers, The Amazing Spider Man and The Dark Knight. From what I have seen from all of them I doubt we will be let down.

I've been mildly amused by the footage thus far, even though I'm certain Nolan will deliver again. But after seeing these last vieos and pieces the scope of the scene together, I'm thinking this is going to be mind blowing.

But hey, we'll see. =)

Marvel = DC...I like that.

I love them both, equally. In fact, I just got my copy of "Thor" and watched it again; great movie.

@Intruder, so you know it is doomed? You have seen the finished product? You have read the script? You know the exact context of each leaked video and set pic? Amazing, well I guess there is no reason to see this movie because you said it was doomed. Sucks though, I was looking forward to this movie because I really enjoyed the last two. It is too bad that Christopher Nolan didn't make The Dark Knight Rises a quality film. I had such high hopes since his last two were great, and his last movie was just recently nominated for Best Picture. *Sigh* too bad. Thanks for letting us all know!

@Trude "Bad mind blowing"? Nah, just regular mind blowing. Thought about all the footage pieced together and in the context of the final edit. Good chance it will be a pretty sweet scene. That's all.

"But this film is doomed.. Trust me."

After you've gained our trust that the film is doomed, should we still go see it for ourselves?

haha @nolanite

@Intruder- I would say he is a great film maker and is looked upon by his peers to be a great film maker. It is one thing for us to sit here and say so and so sucks, but when you are recognized by people in the same industry as being great well, you may have talent. For example I hate Lebron James, but I know he is a great basketball player. I may not like the team he plays for, but I know that they are a good team. You may hate Nolan, but you have to admit that he at least makes quality films from a production standpoint. You may hate his movies, but you have to respect the fact that the movie going public and those in the movie industry praise him, and he is considered one of the best film makers working today.
