it's probably the image the kid draws in the trailer because, obviously, batman is needed again. I think it's a nice cover because it's very minimalist, which has come to define the style of the Nolan batman films anyway. Great cover :).

@batfan Well said

wtf is that?..the design just became too minimal it equates to being lazy. they could have come up with better cover...

meh!

batfan175 - 6/3/2012, 2:17 AM
@MadTitan: that image is actually in the trailer. At least it's not a photoshopped image full of A-list actors in costumes, which is becoming just as lazy.
MadTitan
MadTitan - 6/3/2012, 2:23 AM
@batfan175

if so then that's all the more reason it's a lazy job after all,..they just screencap that scene and made it a cover, voila,instant classic?! more like crap!

good thing though someone mentioned it's fan made. argument is moot.

The symbol is obviously a theme from a specific part of the film. They write the shit on the wall for some reason and they gave us shirts at IMAX with the symbol on it too. Guess we won't know for sure what it means until we see the movie. It's great for a soundtrack cover. Lazy is slapping a typical bat logo on it.

MadTitan
MadTitan - 6/3/2012, 2:36 AM
looks like a wonder woman logo, grunge style. lol

meh.

@MadTitan: there's a difference between minimalist and lazy. That drawing has been on t-shirts and in the trailer. And how does a poster ruin the movie anyway? The marketing campaign is not as good as for TDK, we get it but it's not the same company in charge of merketing either because the company that did the marketing campaign for TDK went to do The Amazing Spiderman instead. I can appreciate the fact that this tries to be a thoughtfull blockbuster as opposed to a CGI fest and it shows in the art direction. I wouldn't even need more than 2 posters fo this film because my judgment on the film comes AFTER I've seen the WHOLE film from BEGINNING to THE END.

@batfan175 - don't put words into my mouth, i never said anything about what or where your argument is leading. and if poster or promos don't matter to you well to others it does.
MadTitan
MadTitan - 6/3/2012, 3:13 AM
@ELgUaSoN -

that promos show what a real minimalist art should look like not that, white looking mold that "rises" from the wall, brick, rust or whatever that is that is purportedly the cover of the soundtrack.

Looks cool!!
DIFFERNT for sure!

Could it have any connection with Arazel's logo (if he has any) but then why would they put other characters logo on TDKR cover!!

This film is as intriguing as any film could be!
No one knew where the story is going & everything seems to be heading in the right direction.
I trust Nolan to deliver big time after seeing him deliver 6/6 times!!

@itbegins2005 hmm! I think so as well!
It could be the symbol of "BringBackBATMAN" champaign. Or "iBelieveInBATMAN"!!
Haha looks cool!

NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 6/3/2012, 5:23 AM
It's different because one is a shot from the trailer and the other is artwork/photography for the cover.

@Marknjoanna I thought it was the 7th Batman movie?
antonio
antonio - 6/3/2012, 5:40 AM
As for the cover art, it could be fake, but I like that fact that it symbolizes that Batman must come back. A cry for help.

An actual score instead of generic rock music signifies the high quality of the overall production.

Can't wait to cop that IMAX ticket June 11th.

@antonio I'm definitely thinking about it. Seeing Batman Begins in IMAX along with the entire trilogy is pretty tempting.
antonio

And it'll be great seeing Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker on the big screen again.
NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 6/3/2012, 6:36 AM
Definitely. I just hope that much IMAX doesn't make me dizzy lol The imax at the metreon in SF is so big that I have to sit in the very last row to enjoy it. The screen is friggin huge.

This is a great cover.

@antonio @NeoBaggins

Brenden Theatre better have a marathon. AMC and Regal theaters is not an option for me. I want to see TDK in IMAX, which I didn't see before.
antonio
antonio - 6/3/2012, 6:41 AM
@3D I'm not entirely sure. Regal, AMC, and Cinemark are all confirmed. And I am not entirely sure if the marathon will be in real IMAX or not.

95 - 6/3/2012, 6:57 AM
@antonio

I'm not happy about that. I paid $40 to see the Marvel Marathon. I have to do the same for this. I would go to Regal for the marathon, but do you think they'll at least include TDKR
In IMAX at the end? Because I'm not going to see it my first time in 2.39.1

That's my cinema! But that's for TDK's 2008 release, sadly. But that makes me hopefully they'll make an event out of TDKR. Thanks for looking!
