The first update comes courtesy of Latino Review. Back at the 2011 Toy Fair, the guys over at Latino Review talked with a Hasbro excutive close to the production of the film. They talked about the the previous work of the costume designer for the film and , more importantly, the Spider-Man suit itself.
The executive explained that the suit won't look the same on film as it did in the set photos that have been seen online.

The excutive spoke on the fabric of the suit and stated:

“…there are things that are done to it to make the 3D work better.”

Here's the interview itself:

So, breathe a sigh of relief fanboys, the suit won't look the same on film as it has in set photos.

The second update comes courtesy of Marvel.com's official news hub for the Spider-Man film. Marvel has given us a hint at the plot basis for the upcoming film via the hub's "Comic Connections" section. The hub's list three comic connections. The books listed here are Ultimate Spider-Man Vol. 1: Power & Responsibility which features the first 7 books of the Ultimate Spider-Man series, Essential Spider-Man Vol. 1 which compiles the first 21 books that Spider-Man was featured in, including Amazing Fantasy #15 and lastly Spider-Man: Brand New Day Vol. 1 which compiles the stories of the titular storyline.

The Ultimate Spider-Man universe has been rumored as the basis for thr film for long time while the early Steve Ditko/Stan Lee comics also make a logical basis as it also features a teenage Spider-Man as well as introducing the Lizard. However, the inclusion of the Brand New Day collection raises questions as it features an older Spidey than that portrayed in the other books.

Anyways, hopefully we'll get solid information on the plot in the coming months, likely at this years San Diego Comic-Con. Also, do you feel differently about the reboot suit now that you know it won't look the same as in the set photos or does it not make a difference? Leave comment in the usual place.
