Well, it appears we finally got some info on the new Yu-Gi-Oh film being released. Mainly due to a new website that has been revealed by the name of  yugiohmovie.jp. And what this website has revealed is 2 things. First of all that the original characters are set to star in the film, as it has silhouettes of Yugi and Kaiba from the original show on the front page.  And that in 5 days we will be getting even more info on this new film in the hugely successful Yu-Gi-Oh franchise. The title of the website also roughly translates out to Yu-Gi-Oh King, whether or not that is the title we won't know for a few days.

What are your guys thoughts on this news? Does it excite you? Does it dissapoint you? List off in the comments, and expect all future Yu-Gi-Oh news to come from yours truly.

YES! I grew up watching the original (and the best) series. The only thing that would make this even more sweet is if they were using the Season 0 Yugi. That was a bad mother[frick]er.

Awesome. This was like Pokémon on acid back in the day. Loved YuGiOh. Almost sad that I sold all my cards. But, I made like $3000 selling that shit. Thanks to my Gate Guardian set and my Egyptian God Cards.

I will see this movie. I will love this movie. Gimme this movie.

I quit watching Yu Gi Oh after 5 episodes, but got back into it during all the weird Egyptian stuff where all the characters were in ancient Egypt.

Can anyone give me like a quick two sentence synopsis of what the hell was going on with that? Yu Gi Oh looks pretty cool.

I modeled my whole deck after the original characters: Yugi, Kaiba, and my favorite Joey. I think the Yugioh creative team are taking a page out the Dragonball Z team who are just continuing the saga with new anime films instead of a whole new revamped series.

@ComixBookGuy The original series had a definitive ending though. The Pharoh went to the afterlife and the millennium items were sealed away. I don't know how you continue it from there unless all the movies take place before that.

@Melkaticox it has a high chance of that. When the film was announced they said in the press release they were looking for a distributor outside of asia. Rumors are also going around that Konami (since they own the rights to yugioh now) are going to get the original cast together as well.

Thumbs up from me. I'm actually kind of relieved that this wasn't a live-action film announcement, as I initially thought it would be, because I would have been so po'd if Yu-Gi-Oh got a live-action film adaptation before Pokèmon, just imagine James Cameron's Avatar times 100 and you'd have a true winner. Anyhow, I've never been a fan of this series, so I could care less, but I hope the film turns out to be great for all of you fans out there. Me, I'll wait for my live-action Pokèmon adaptation to FINALLY come to life.
