Definition: CANON, noun- A standard; Criterion. An officially recognized
set of sacred books.
That is what the X-men are to me, the 616 X-men that is! The standard,
Criterion.....SACRED BOOKS!!!
I want the makers of an X-men movie to hold to the standard as close as they
can!!!
I realize that it's impossible to condense everything down without screwing
with a few things. But the “First Class” should be the very 1st Class! If you
add the original five to the mix then Bobby should be only a couple years
younger than the older four not still with the new kids. Beast should not be
almost as old as Professor X! Beast, Jean, Cyclops and Angel should be
about the same age. Angel is not as young as Bobby & the new kids!
I actually liked the first two X-men movies sucky Singer put out but I did
not appreciate the inaccurate timeline at all! I even liked Beast and
Juggernaut from the 3rd movie by that RAT-what's his name?! But I think
Juggy should be taller!
I want a CLOSE-TO-CANON X-MEN!!! Thus this is my version of it!
I only want a reboot when and if Marvel ever somehow gets the rights
back!
My movie idea tells the tale of how the “New X-men” came to be and
explains how they were added to the mix of the “First Folks”!
Now you can't really put KRAKOA, THE LIVING ISLAND in a film!
It's just too huge & hokey of a device! So my bad guy who abducts the
First Five is not a giant monster island! I chose the next bad guy they met
in X-men #94...”COUNT NEFARIA”!
Xavier gets wind that Count Nefaria is trying to build a machine to drain
super-powered mutants of their powers and bestow their abilities upon
himself, killing them in the process. Thus Professor X sends four new
recruits, like in the original story, to take care of this non-super-powered
shady big corporation-owner before he can complete his experiments.
Xavier isn't aware that Luchiano Nefaria already finished the device
and it's functioning or he wouldn't have sent only the recruits.
Little does Xavier know that the corrupt Count is the one who leaked
the information! He wants the Professor to send some mutants his way
so he can use them to drain! The Count thinks it will be the first five
plus Polaris and Havoc!
The new recruits are then captured by Nefaria with a construct that
renders mutants powerless by nullifying the mutant gene code. When
they arrive they're sucked dry, leaving them shriveled dead husks.
(The 4 mutants who die can be played by bit players.)
Thus Nefaria is transformed into a powerful being, more powerful
and durable than he ever imagined because the high-tech device
malfunctions leaving the Count with immense power, like that of a god!
The machine is destroyed but Nefaria knows how to build another one!
He still has the blueprints. He also still has the other machine that can
render the X-men powerless. When the X-men arrive, along with Havoc
and Polaris, the Count abducts them. He puts them in “cold storage”
so he can drain them of their powers eventually, after he builds
a new improved machine.
The only one who gets away is CYCLOPS. He rushes back to Xavier to
let him know that they are going to need more trained powerful mutants
if they are to defeat the god-like Nefaria and rescue BEAST, JEAN,
BOBBY, ANGEL, HAVOC & POLARIS!
So Xavier and Cyclops head for Muir Island and MOIRA
McTAGGERT, where she is training some new recruits at her complex,
Russian metal-man PIOTR RASPUTIN, teens, phaser-girl KITTY
PRIDE, light manipulator-girl JUBILATION LEE & cute pixie-like
MEGAN GWYNN, and powerful young head-strong Native American
JOHN PROUDSTAR. SHIRO YOSHIDA (SUNFIRE) is there helping
train the “kids” because of his promise to help Xavier. EMMA FROST
was left with the children back at Xavier's Academy/Mansion.
Also Xavier and Moira work on a device that will stop NEFARIA'S
mutant-nullifier.
Professor X believes that they will need more than these young people
to defeat Nefaria now so he uses Cerebro to locate a woman in Africa
who controls the weather, a German man who formerly worked for a
circus but is now homeless and on the run from the world because of
his demon-like abnormalities, and a former Canadian Black-Ops
soldier who is now a drifter in Canada, who he finds fighting in a
tough-man contest in a grungy remote Canadian bar!
He also visits a young criminal Louisiana woman, in the seedy part
of New Orleans, named ANNA MARIE. She has accidentally killed a
couple of fellow cohorts in her “line of work” with her powers but
doesn't want the life anymore because of her abilities she thinks are
“a horrible malady” that has suddenly come upon her! She thinks she
has been cursed because of all her bad deeds! The men's deaths are
bitterly haunting her because of how she left them grotesque shriveled
corpses!
Another Louisiana criminal man, a Cajun mutant called in the local
crime biz, GAMBIT, for his explosive way with cards and just about
anything else, gets wind of the famous Professor Xavier coming and
taking his friend and crime partner Anna away so he heads for the
place he learns of where one can find the good Professor, Xavier
Academy in New York City!
In the meantime Nefaria actually captures MAGNETO with his
mutant-nullifier and holds him hostage so that Magneto's
“CHILDREN” will do Nefaria's bidding as bodyguards against the
New X-men while he finishes rebuilding and improving his mutant-
sapping device!
MAGNETO'S group of human-hating mutants are, MYSTIQUE,
SABRETOOTH, THORRN, TOAD, ARCLIGHT, JUGGERNAUT &
PYRO.
The group of mutants who finally come through the training and the
rest who become the 'NEW X-MEN are:
WOLVERINE, ROGUE, NIGHTCRAWLER, STORM, SHADOWCAT,
COLOSSUS, PIXIE & THUNDERBIRD, with SUNFIRE & BANSHEE
along as older “mentors”. CYCLOPS leads them of course and
GAMBIT shows up just before they go to battle with MAGNETO'S
group, coerced to fight for NEFARIA. JUBILEE doesn't make the
grade this time.
There's more to the story but this is the set-up for my X-men movie
reboot. Needless to say there are battles to come in the last half of my
movie, battles of huge proportions! In all the mayhem John Proudstar
and BANSHEE die and Gambit becomes part of THE X-MEN. CABLE
has a cameo at the end. I actually call this a total START-OVER than a
REBOOT!
I have given reasons for casting the actors I've cast here but these
characters are so ridiculously famous I didn't bother adding bios for
them.

MY X-MEN-1 “CLOSE-TO-CANON” START-OVER MOVIE FANCAST:
I had chosen COLM FEORE, along time ago, to be my next Professor X
but lately it seems everyone and their dog is using him in their fancasts!
That's why I put Ed Harris in my STARJAMMERS fancast so that
casting would be different from this one. Well, I already put Colm here
a terribly long time ago and I ain't taking him out just 'cause everybody
else has cast him now as Xavier! Drat! Too many great minds on here
thinking alike! LOL
PROFESSOR X (CHARLES FRANCIS XAVIER): COLME FEORE
Emily is an excellent British actress and does a fine American accent
and she was my first ever choice for Jean here on CBM.COM. I think
she is still the optimal one for the role.
JEAN GREY: EMILY BLUNT
Chris Pine is a born leader-type actor, hell, he's CAPTAIN KIRK for
Pete's sake! He's a taller guy (6'1”) and I think perfect for the field leader
of the X-MEN.
CYCLOPS (SCOTT SUMMERS): CHRIS PINE
This to me just fits! Jon just fits!
BEAST (HENRY “HANK” McCOY): JON HAMM
This here is absolute perfect casting, I do believe everyone here knows
that by now!
ANGEL (WARREN WORTHINGTON III): TEDDY SEARS
I like this guy for the COOL-AS-A-CUCUMBER-MAN! Heck he was up
for CAP AMERICA!
ICEMAN (ROBERT “BOBBY” DRAKE): MIKE VOGEL
I cast her in the STARJAMMERS as the beautiful Lorna so...
POLARIS (LORNA DANE): HELENA MATTSSON
I feel this actor, who starred in the new TRON: LEGACY, is the ideal man
to fill the shoes of Scott's younger brother.
HAVOC (ALEXANDER “ALEX” SUMMERS): GARRETT HEDLUND
This lady is the absolutely gorgeous daughter of the great OSCAR winning SIDNEY POITIER. She was great as JUNGLE JULIA in QUENTIN TARATINO'S
“DEATH PROOF”, in the GRINDHOUSE movies.She's a tall woman (5'11”) and
regal-looking, her legs just don't quit! Rowerrrr!
STORM (ORORO MUNROE): SYDNEY TAMIIA POITIER
I was the one who discovered this short yet beefy actor, who just shouts,
“LOGAN!” I'm glad a lot of people have seen the light! LOL
WOLVERINE (JAMES “LOGAN” HOWLETT): CHRISTIAN KANE
A lot of my fellow CBM-ERS seem to think KRISTEN STEWART should
play ROGUE but I don't see her fitting the Cajun thief at all. To me she
simply doesn't seem dangerous enough. Now ELIZA I can totally believe
as a beautiful dangerous criminal and a bitch-and-a-half! LOL
ROGUE (ANNA MARIE): ELIZA DUSHKU
Cam Gigandet (Ji-gawn'-day) has impressed me with his acting and
martial arts skills. He would be an excellent explosive REMY! Plus he
looks just like him...he's even French-American like Cajuns are!
GAMBIT (REMY ETIENNE LeBEAU): CAM GIGANDET
I have put three pics here of this actress to prove she fits EMMA to a “T”.
She's so beautiful it's scary and she plays the BITCH wonderfully! She was
in the movie “DEBS” with DEVON AOKI & RICHARD CLARK DUNCAN
and in THE BIG BOUNCE with OWEN WILSON & CHARLIE SHEEN.
EMMA FROST (EMMA GRACE FROST): SARA FOSTER
JAMES I think would just bring the German demonoid-boy to life! A
NIGHTCRAWLER who is athletic and younger and not so timid.

DANIEL CUDMORE is the only actor I would keep from Singer's not
entirely non-entertaining yet inaccurate X-MEN. He's older now and
improved in his acting and just fits the big Russian Metal-man.
COLOSSUS (PIOTR NIKOLAIEVITCH RASPUTIN) DANIEL CUDMORE
JAMIE CHUNG is extremely skilled at martial arts but is still cute as a
button. She's in ZACK SNYDER'S wicked new movie SUCKER PUNCH.
JUBILEE (JUBILATION LEE): JAMIE CHUNG
People have suggested EDDIE SPEARS for THUNDERBIRD but I choose
his brother, MICHAEL SPEARS. I like EDDIE for WARPATH.

He's use to makeup prosthetics from his days as JOSHUA the dog-boy on
DARK ANGEL and playing FREDERICK J. DUKES. Fergit about his time
as THE BLOB, he was totally unrecognizable in the makeup anyway and
that movie simply STUNK!!!
Just imagine short muscular CHRISTIAN KANE as WOLVERINE
fighting huge muscular KEVIN DURAND as SABRETOOTH! Now that's
balls-out action!!!!

I wanted another beastly mutant in my action-packed X-MEN so I chose
FERAL'S sis THORRN. JOLENE would be great as the ferocious feline

I got to thinking when I did the WHEDON-PEOPLE FUN-CAST that
the guy I had in there for TOAD would be absolutely perfect to actually
play him, SETH GREEN! LOL

STANA is a tall muscular slim dangerous-type yet totally beautiful. She
just seems ideal for the exotic and powerfully-built ARCLIGHT!
