San Diego Comic-Con International Tickets Already On sale (without PREVIEW NIGHT)

Because of the increasing number of attendees on Preview Night each year, it has been decided to limit attendance for Preview Night in 2010
So San Diego Comic-Con 2010 is a while away, but can you believe that tickets are SOLD OUT?!?!?!?

Well not exactly what you think but Preview Night is out...

This is what Comic-Con.org has to say about it:

"Because of the increasing number of attendees on Preview Night each year, we have decided to limit attendance for Preview Night in 2010. It is impossible to accommodate every person who registers for a four-day badge on Preview Night, so we made available four-day memberships with and without the Preview Night option."

I just checked and tickets for Preview Night are SOLD OUT...

You can still get 4-Day tickets but without Preview Night...

It's nice that these comic book movies are getting made, but I think they're turning more and more people into geeks. Now they're flooding our conventions. I don't like it. Nope. Not one bit.
BmanHall - 10/7/2009, 2:36 PM
@BmanHall... LOL

Hey all, I'm planning on going to Comic Con for the first time next year. I need (relevant) tips and suggestions from those of you that have attended recently. I'll trade a lifetime of servitude for the best advise :D

Die Fledermaus! Man, I love that whacky bat!

But Multi@, listen to Leee@! Run for your life if you see
someone dressed like The Tick...they have a loose tick in
their head-pans!

And I too plan to go to Comicon in San Diego next year!

@Multi:

Takes tons of pics. Be prepared to be handed some of the most random shit you can think of.
People seem to forget about hygiene when it comes to these, so I brought hand wipes. Sounds weird, but I didn't get sick being around that many people.

Hell, by day 2, I stopped taking shit from people, otherwise I would have had to bring a suitcase just for the swag!

And people in wheelchairs and pushing strollers. Wow. Just wow.
TucsonRican - 10/8/2009, 9:02 AM
@TuscanRican: Thanks man! Great advise! I'll be dressed as Deadpool so I'll have PLENTY of little pockets for all the swag ;)
MultiPurposePoni - 10/8/2009, 9:38 AM
@MULTI

I live in SD too, you def. wanna take lots of pics!

Also, my best advice would be to look for a room that has the most events you wanna see, get there early and just set up camp. When you try to go from room to room, you just end up missing too much, standing in the back, or not gettin in the room at all.

It's also a good idea to hang around at the end of the last day, you can pick up all kinds of cool swag like banners, cardboard cut-outs, etc. etc. for much cheaper then you would on the first couple of days.

Hope that helps!
Talontd - 10/8/2009, 1:01 PM
Oh yea, THIS IS BULLSH!T THAT PREVIEW NIGHT IS ALREADY SOLD OUT.........BULLSH!T i tell ya!
Talontd - 10/8/2009, 1:02 PM
@MULTI

Just remember, there are lots of people like us there, but there are also lots of people with little to no social skills! Almost no one will say i'm sorry or excuse me and it's very crowded.......so don't bring your gun!!!
Talontd - 10/8/2009, 1:06 PM
@Mulit... I went for the 1st time in 2008, & I had a blast. But if you know someone who lives in San Diego, try to stay @ there place while your down there. Hotels are expensive, but my brother -in -law lives down there & i didn't pay any room or bored. Went to the beach & all. It was great!!!! Save your $ if u can & try to go to the masquedae ball. That was fun!!!
Spock - 10/8/2009, 2:12 PM
Thanks for all the ideas guys! Keep em coming!

@Talontd: No worries, I modified all the guns that I'm taking so that they're inert for my Deadpool costume. I hope they let me park my moped close by :)

@Spock: I was hoping to get a room at the local AF base. If they're full maybe I'll stay with you?
MultiPurposePoni - 10/8/2009, 2:39 PM
@Multi... Two things you should always remember...

1) When the doors open go straight to the WB booth and get your free "HUGE" bag.. If you don't like it you could always sell it!!!

2) If you're going to buy comics go to all the booths first then buy because one place might have $2 comics but the next has $1...

Other than that have fun...
SoratheKey - 10/8/2009, 4:12 PM
Also, if your interested in the video games booths, check those out early. They are usually all on one side of the convention floor, and that place looks like the market scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark, minus the turbans and heat.
TucsonRican - 10/8/2009, 4:27 PM
@ Multi.. Uhh that won't work I live in omaha, ne. Sorry!!!!! & I ETS in 2006.
Spock - 10/8/2009, 5:15 PM
@All you feebs: So this is what I've got so far:

1) Take lots of pictures
2) Get in line early to secure goody bags
3) Pack hand sanitizer
4) Don't pack guns
4) I can't stay at Spock's house
5) If someone doesn't say "excuse me" refrain from monkey-stomping them

. . . is that everything?
