Scream Awards Winner: Iron Man 2

Also X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Old Man Logan and Stan Lee got awards.
The 2009 Scream Awards shown on Spike was last night,
and here are the Marvel Comics related winners:

"Iron Man 2" won for the Most Anticipated Science Fiction Film (6 months before it comes out)

Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds won the Best Super Hero award and Best Supporting Actor respectively for their work in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." (Go Deadpool!)

Plus in comic books Wolverine got spotlight too, or at least the artist. Steve McNiven won for Best Comic Book Artist for his phenomenal work on the Mark Millar written "Wolverine: Old Man Logan."

The Comic-Con Icon Award was bestowed upon the legendary Stan Lee and was presented by Spider-Man, I mean Tobey Maguire.

I guess Marvel had a lot of spotlight last night huh!

MARVEL SPOTLIGHT!
LEEE777 - 10/28/2009, 12:44 PM
And here I am thinking that wolverine was gonna win in every category. lol
supermarioworldE - 10/28/2009, 12:46 PM
wolverine wernt THAT bad

gosh man
TheLivingWeapon - 10/28/2009, 12:52 PM
Oh yes it was!
wards - 10/28/2009, 1:07 PM
TheLivingWeapon: Agreed! It was a decent movie when you excuse the changes they made from the comic books! The CGI was the biggest let down for me though..! It was really awful in places!

Im glad that Steve McNiven won an award - he is probably the best artist around right now and his 'Old Man Logan' work was even more stunning that his 'Civil War' stuff!
joshw24 - 10/28/2009, 1:09 PM
Hmmmm, Star Trek won best fight scene.

Personally, I think the Optimus vs 3 fight scene in Transformers 2 was AWESOME. I'm surprized that didn't win.

Transformers 2 wasn't great & Star Trek was definitely a better movie though. :)
Runefyst - 10/28/2009, 1:10 PM
And as for Wolverine, I really didn't find it that bad either. I can even swallow the 1/2 brother thing they had going on.

The only thing I really didn't like was the multi-powered, non-talking Deadpool at the end.
Runefyst - 10/28/2009, 1:12 PM
BORIGINS was a BIG FOX stink bomb!!

Great news for IRON MAN 2 though!!
LEEE777 - 10/28/2009, 1:14 PM
Leee, come on man. X-Men Origins: Wolverine wasn't that bad. they definately took liberties with many of the characters but it was entertaining atleast. If you don't agree I'll have to bring out the Peter Griffin jedi mind trick of....

c'mon.....c'mon.......
Axl - 10/28/2009, 1:14 PM
AXL @ Okay it was a bit better than CATWOMAN but not much!

; D
LEEE777 - 10/28/2009, 1:16 PM
Arrggghhhh your Jedi mind trick is working already! : D
LEEE777 - 10/28/2009, 1:17 PM
I'm confused, I used the old "c'mon, c'mon" trick. You shoud now think X-Men Origins: Wolverine is as good as The Dark Knight.
Axl - 10/28/2009, 1:17 PM
LOL!!!!!!!!!!
Axl - 10/28/2009, 1:18 PM
Hugh Jackman = Best Superhero

Sure, why not. He's an awesome Wolverine.

Ryan Reynolds = Best Supporting Actor

Wait, what? The dude was in the like the first 5 mins after the opening credits of the movie, then he shows up for the last 10 to fight the main character. How the hell is THAT support?
BmanHall - 10/28/2009, 1:30 PM

You should not be allowed to own eyeballs. Or speak. What the hell is wrong with you? Seriously, you probably paid to see that crap more than once and now they're making a sequal...Thanks, Tampon.
Preach - 10/28/2009, 1:32 PM
Preach, your a c#nt.

Bman, agree completely. Jackman, no problem there, but as good as Reynolds was he was only in like 2 scenes! That wasn't even him at the end as "Deadpool". Schrieber should have got that award.

Anyway, Old Man Logan was amazing, glad that won something.
Rorschach01 - 10/28/2009, 1:55 PM
yup, saw it in the theatres, more than once too, you @ss worshipping rimj0bber. ZING!!!

Now, take note; this is the last time I will be addressing you. I've already given too much of my time to a cretin like yourself. Disappear vermon!
Axl - 10/28/2009, 1:59 PM
Hey Ror, thanks man!!
Axl - 10/28/2009, 1:59 PM
People putting down other people in forums for their opinion is silly.
Runefyst - 10/28/2009, 2:03 PM
Marvel is THE SHIT!!!!!!! Man I can't believe I missed the Scream Awards. Stan is The Man. Iron Man 2 looks crackin . Old Man Logan is great. Origins gets 3 stars in my book. Ryan and Hugh are great as Deadpool and Wolverine I say blame the people behind the screen, I mean why do you thinks Stan wasn't in Origins he knew its was gonna suck. Tobey is a great Spider-Man he's just old.
MrAnonymous - 10/28/2009, 2:24 PM
Ror@ I agree 100%, no way do Reynolds deserve to be praised for doing approx. 4 scenes, sure he did hit the nail with his Wally. But Schreiber deserved it much, perhaps even more than Hugh did. I mean come on people are trashing this movie way too much. Instead of looking at the bright sight - We f'ing got an epic Sabretooth who could mess with Wolvie both physically and mentally.
lyky90 - 10/28/2009, 2:33 PM
@Runfyst: I like it! It's fun to see people discuss things I post!
SoratheKey - 10/28/2009, 2:53 PM
@ Rorschach01: Exactly! If it had to be someone from a comic book movie, then Schrieber should have won it by a land slide.
BmanHall - 10/28/2009, 2:55 PM
I agree - Shreiber was far more deserving of that award...his performance was a good as Hugh Jackman's if not better!
joshw24 - 10/28/2009, 3:14 PM
godd@mn you Leee - you turn every fcuking forum into a debate on how much Wolverine sucked. STOP IT FOR FCUK'S SAKE. lol. Chr!st.

The award show itself blew extreme a$$ except for Stan Lee and George A Romero's honourary awards.
Keven - 10/28/2009, 3:51 PM
i was just about to ask what the hell Reynolds did to win the best supporting actor role but i see Bamn and Ror beat me to the punch. agree with everything said guys. shoulda been Schrieber
ThePrince - 10/28/2009, 4:21 PM
I dare anyone to tell me that McNiven didnt deserve to win for artwork as stunning as this! :)

I cant believe i missed that series! Old man logan, i need to get that like now.

I dont think that Hugh Jackman portrayed any wolverine i have ever read. He is a damned good actor though. Well except that that movie
"Australia" i laughed the whole way through that one. I had to otherwise i would have cried.
shibazz - 10/28/2009, 7:11 PM
omg, how about Geoff Johns!? i can't believe no one has mentioned his award for best comic book writer!!

chimera - 10/28/2009, 8:00 PM
END OF THE DAY....

WATCHMEN should've won awards not that sh1te called SN'ORIGINS!!!!

Its a sad day in hell when that piece of sh1t wins anything! ; D

Only two good things in that movie, a certain two actors that (coff) played brothers!

Thats it...
LEEE777 - 10/28/2009, 9:38 PM
I guess Marvel got all the spotlight, but what really irritates me is the fact that at every award show Twilight always has to win something! THat movie ws last year, and it gets nominated with movies that happened this year. I just dont get it
Instantclassic - 10/28/2009, 9:52 PM
I don't understand why Watchman didn't win more, I loved the movie as much as I loved the book. (Yes, I said it. The squid wouldn't have worked in the movie.) Jackman is kick ass, confused as to why Reynolds won anything. And as for the biggest waste of money, time, and life that is the glam vampire movie (I refuse to mention the name of that festering pile of vomit), someone needs to shoot the producers who thought that would be a great movie. There are some things that fans shouldn't get to vote on. Namely, just that movie... Unless the producers of that movie are doing other movies that are gonna kick ass, don't shoot them. Just let them know they're hitting brain farts.

On a side note, the opening of the Scream awards should be the opening to EVERY awards show: Oscars, Emmy's, Golden Globe. The twins slitting throats was totally epic!!
swampy417 - 10/28/2009, 11:35 PM
old man logan is one of the best wolverine stories ever even with wolverine popping his claws only at the very end. hope we see some more of this possible future.
Denn1s - 10/29/2009, 1:11 AM
@Dennis- Thanks Azs !
shibazz - 10/29/2009, 2:51 AM
hm, i wonder why gi joe didn't win anything, lol
CorndogBurglar - 10/29/2009, 4:54 AM
haha, DEnn1s obviously not reading Sibs comment that she had not read it yet!

Don't work Shib, theres a hell of a lot more to it that that.

CDB, I was actually wondering the same...although sarcasm aside, I am actually surprised it didn't win anything, these teeny awards always award shite...(Leee this is were you say "Thats how Snor/Bor/Deplor/Whoreigins won;")

The 2 good things in that movie beats the ...emmm, ZERO good things in Gi Joke
Rorschach01 - 10/29/2009, 7:16 AM
Iron Man 2 is a movie I want to see but it's not the movie I'm anticipating most. The movie I can't wait to see is Jonah Hex ,of course I'm bias I'm a big fan of Jonah Hex Now just hurry up fellas an release a damn trailer already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
