In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.

Earlier tonight actor Michael Clarke Duncan appeared on the G4 series Attack of the Show where he discussed his portrayal of the tough Kilowog in Martin Campbell's upcoming super hero flick Green Lantern, some of his favorite moments in DC history, and discusses whats next for him after Green Lantern

Word is that they also aired a pretty cool new clip from the movie featuring a scene between Hal and Kilowog on Oa but that's yet to make it's way online yet.

Green Lantern Hits Theaters June 17th.

Not my first choice for Kilowag, since I always thought of him having more of a gravel-y voice, while MCD's is very deep and smooth. He wasn't perfect, but Michael Madsen in First Flight was a bit closer to what I had in mind.

That being said, it might not be my take on the character, but it can still work. MCD seems like a wonderful guy, so I wish him all the best in this one.

I've liked this actor ever since "The Green Mile" and I like him more after these interviews. He never should have been cast as Kingpin, though. That to me was the one stain on his otherwise spotless career.

The guy is huge, he used to bodyguard Biggie Smalls, he made Charlie Sheen pee himself. I'm not going to tell him he made a mistake. If you want to, be my guest.

Movie Kilowog looks pretty solid. May there be plenty of "Poozer" utterances in the course of the film. I hope the film is as good as I'm hoping.

Though he doesn't say the oath quite right, I respect the man for reading comics when he was growing up. Now: he didn't well AT ALL as Atlas in "God of War 2", but even so. I hope he rocks this movie as my favorite Green Lantern, even though the character probably won't be in there all that much. If he refers to someone as a "Poozer" or a group of people as "Poozers": my film experience will be made!

funny enough, there actually was a time where that version of the oath was used, around the mid 80's to early 90's if I'm not mistaken, it was changed back tho cause lets face it, its not the original Green Lantern Corps oath lol

I will mark like crazy if while Hal is trying to figure out the oath he ends up saying

"...And I shall shed my light over dark evil, for the dark things cannot stand the light. The light of … THE GREEN LANTERN!"
